Daniel O.
Hi all, my H. pulchella (Akopan Tepui) is flowering since a few days now. That was a good reason to take it out of the terrarium to take a few shots. Here they are: its not so well coloured, but now its standing more in the middle of the terraium, before it was in one of the corners In some of the pitchers is growing some moss. not so sharp, because of taking the picture from outside the terrarium through the glass I hope you enjoy them. Best regards, Dani
Guest Andreas Eils
Hi Daniel, PRETTY THING! What a coincidence, my H. pulchella (Chimanta Tepui) is currently opening a flower, too! Well, some of your Pulchella pitchers rather have their mouth full! Has there some substrate fallen into the pitchers? ;-) Thank you for the show! Sockhom
Very nice pictures Daniel! I especially like the last one. Is Nepenthes dubia that we can see in the foreground? Besides, i see you seem to grow orchids? Could you please tell me which genera? I have a small collection of epiphytic orchids myself, mainly Sophronitis. François. Daniel O.
Thanks for the nice comments. Andreas, good luck with your flower. I hope to see pictures from your plant and flower too. I think that no substrate has fallen into the pitchers, but who knows. In one of my H. ionasii´s also moss is starting to grow. François, yes, you are absolutly right, that´s my little N. dubia. In the moment i´m not at home so i´ll answer you about the orchids a little bit later or tomorrow, i don´t have all the names in mind. Iggy, these days my H. ionasii will flower (in the last picture you can see it at the right top corner), also a H. nutans x ionasii will flower these days, but perhaps it will be too late. With the H. ionasii for sure i will try self pollination, i hope it will work, but i have never tried yet. Bye all, Dani
Guest Andreas Eils
Andreas, good luck with your flower. I hope to see pictures from your plant and flower too. I think that no substrate has fallen into the pitchers, but who knows. In one of my H. ionasii´s also moss is starting to grow. Hi Dani, I´ve already photographed my last year´s flower of H. pulchella (Chimanta Tepui) and don´t want to make new pictures actually. The last year´s pics were posted here on the board. Have you missed them? I´ve had also moss growing out of older pitchers, but have found out that while transplanting a little bit of substrate fell into the pitchers. Never had moss growing out of my pitchers else. Let alone as much as in your pitchers. Greetings, Andreas
Daniel O.
Hi Andreas, i really have not seen your nice plant , but i will search for it, i promise. It will never happen again that i miss one of yours posts. About the moss, i will let it inside, somehow it looks funny. Good night, now spacing time begins, Dani
Guest Andreas Eils
i really have not seen your nice plant , but i will search for it, i promise. Hm...you won´t find the pics anymore as I´ve deleted all my CP pictures from my server! It will never happen again that i miss one of yours posts. But I am so gracious to post the flowering H. pulchella right here again extra for you. vraev
Wow! Amzing pics as usual Daniel & Andreas. :) I love that moss in the pitchers.
Daniel O.
Hi varun, thanks a lot. I was absolutely sure you would like the moss inside the pitchers. The plant is flowering now for about 3-4 weeks and the flower has changed it´s colour into green-yellow, what is absolutely normal for Heliamphora flowers. But i think it´s still nice. Here is a little update. Best regards, Dani
