Forbes
Late last month I stopped at the notorious bog on California's Mendocino coast on my way to better preserved areas. Between rain showers I only had time for a few photos but thought y'all might enjoy. S. leucophylla: S. purpurea subsp. venosa: More S. leucophylla. The top photo is artificially lit, the second not. I know which I prefer but if you like one better than the other, I would be interested to know which holds your favor. Forbes
I knew you'd appreciate the irony. "in habitat" or "in cultivation"? Now there's a dilemma!
Carlos Rohrbacher
Nice plants!!!
RL7836
Barry Rice just posted an update on the status of the introduced plants in this bog over here. For those interested, a prior thread on Albion was posted here.
Fernando Rivadavia
Hey Forbes, Nice pics! They're also probably the last pics taken at this site while still loaded with introduced CPs. Not that I'm mourning, of course. What I would really like to see are before/ after shots without any of those weedy D.capensis... ;) Best Wishes, Fernando Rivadavia Edited May 13, 2008 by Fernando Rivadavia
lil_flytrap_kid
I do sort of like how natural it looks, leaving all the dead leaves intact as they would be in the wild. Thanks for sharing
