Muel
A couple of cheapy cacti I saw at a garden shop while I was visiting Manchester. This one is Mammarlia elegens of some sort isn't it? No clue on this one however, it looks funny though Cheers in advance for any help Also a quickie, soil for cacti, sphagnum moss peat will do won't it? Or at least "make do"? Guest Aidan
Oreocereus celsianus... probably. Compost needs to be well drained and so will want grit and sand added. Cacti also require some nutrition which peat alone will not provide.
Muel
Rightyo, got a perlite/polystyrene section at the bottom 2/5 of the pot and a bit of perlite in the peat. For nutriants, I'll just throw a lizard pile in there every once in a while then Also mixed some gravel into the soil, should do the trick for drainage (not bodged or lazy in the slightest :o) Edited December 18, 2007 by Muel
