Bob H
At last the flowers on my larger U.reniformis are flowering. Images taken with Olympus Camedia C-700UZ I can't see much difference between these and those from the smaller form, except the length of scape which is half again as tall. Bob H
congrats, and the secret is...? I have no idea! It is planted in a fairly open mix, including bark, seramis and moss, in a 10 inch Waterlily basket (big mistake, the rhizome-like-bit pushes through the holes) and is kept moist through the winter and quite wet in the summer. Full sun and a minimum temp of 5-7C. It gives me flushes of new leaves through out the season and has 6 healthy leaves and a couple of dying/ dead end of season leaves. Martin Hingst
Very nice Bob! Funny, I've heard already some other growers (from the northern hemisphere too) saying their reniformis started flowering these weeks. Thanks for sharing Martin
AndrewLuton
congrats, and the secret is...? Bob telling me last month that he has no idea if it will ever flower
Nigel H-C
One of mine has just finished flowering. I reckon it's due to the long gloomy summer with low light levels being followed by a month or so of decent sun. The plants think it's spring. One of my Roridula plants has also just finished flowering out of season. Nigel H-C
