Guest Aidan
"Fat Boy" Mike - It's a very odd shape. Just this one or are other pitchers similar?
Mike King
"Fat Boy" Mike - It's a very odd shape. Just this one or are other pitchers similar? It got slighly 'crmpled on the left handside. I suspect there is another species involved to get it to this huge size several generations back. Its my only plant of this clone. -=Joel=-
Looks a nice plant Mike :) Questions: If you suspect it not being a pure Leucophylla is it still classed as Leucophylla due to the other genes being so far back down the line ? If I where to cross a Flava x Leucophylla then cross it with Leucophylla a few times so it looks like a Leucophylla. Would this be a hybrid or a Leucophylla ? If mods think this warrants its own post feel free to move Edited September 18, 2007 by -=Joel=-
Guest Aidan
Joel - If you know a plant is a hybrid then it should be labelled as such. The probability is that many plants grown as pure species are in fact highly introgressed hybrids, but without genetic analysis we will never know the truth. -=Joel=-
Thank you Aidan. Thats probably why we have so much variation between flava, Leucophylla etc .... interesting !!

Alexis
That's a monster. Which clone is it? It looks a bit like a couple of your Baldwin County plants.
Mike King
That's a monster. Which clone is it? It looks a bit like a couple of your Baldwin County plants. It is a monster. It is clone number L87, but it has no location on it.
