-=Joel=-
Hi Folks, Just wondering if any one made any interesting crosses they made this year ? Now that seed pods are starting to ripen ( I collected 3 pod fulls today ) I cant wait to see what has or hasnt worked. I have made a few crosses using a very nice clone of Leucophylla x Oreophila. Cant wait to see if the good looks pass on to the siblings :) So come on, dont be shy Joel

janmyszkier
Sheila if this is "just a few" then I give you my vote for Sarracenia maniac ^_^ It's a really nice list of crosses. I especially would like to know how your crosses with flava and minor will look in the future because they are my favourite species. Don't forget to put the photos on ;)
Guest Sheila
There won't be photos from me of the seedlings. All my seed goes into the seedbank for the CPS this year. I just haven't got the room to grow it myself.
Howard Snocken
Hi Folks,Just wondering if any one made any interesting crosses...this year ? Probably. I have just looked at my list of crosses from this spring and was a bit shocked to make the total 165! - too many to list or even make a choice from at the moment, sorry! So, Sarracenia maniac clinic here I come! I think I'll be relieved to find a few empty pods this year
Guest Aidan
Only 165... Pah, amateurs! 300+ last year. Somewhat less this year owing to constraints of time. Maybe some interesting hybrids with S. flava 'Suspicion'. It depends what I find when harvesting. Anthocyanin-free S. x moorei anyone? ada
Count me in Aidan.lol. It will go well with the "suspicion" x (leucophylla x r.jonesii)all green seedlings. If you can tell the difference. Ada.

Mike King
I have made quite a few this year hoping to achieve red moorei clones. But I have crossed 'Adrian Slack' with 'Leah wilkerson' and see what happens. Also, I have made again the luteola purp x leucophylla green. Lets see what happens, but looking now for some space to grow them on!
Alexis
luteola purp x leucophylla green A seedling of which Mike kindly gave me in June! The F18 x L46 is also doing well.
sarraceniashawn
WOW, thats a lot of crosses. Ive only made 1: S. leuco x. oreophylla. Ive made the same cross last year and the seedlings are doing well so well see how they turn out.

venusflytrapman
Seeing the amount of crosses you have made... it is quite a lot compared to mine. None of you have made it though (Unless I missed it ). S. (leucophylla x psstciana [or whatever it is spelt like] x S. purpurea. How about that for a nice little hybrid. I wonder what traits it takes if there is any seed? Just thought- that is all three lids: hood, lid, collar. I call the bit on purpurea the collar (if I'm right in it being called that then yippee). I think you'd get a plant similar to courtii with that one, with some white colouration.
Amar
I didn't make any crosses, but my brothers girlfriend got pregnant. :) WOW, thats a lot of crosses. Guest Sheila
I didn't make any crosses, but my brothers girlfriend got pregnant. :) I do hope this isn't a confession Amar For all of you who have too many seeds to grow on, there is plenty of space in the CPS seedbank
Loakesy
I have made quite a few this year hoping to achieve red moorei clones. Me too, well almost! Of the 5 or 6 crosses I made this year, I have a S. leucophylla pubescent - Deer Park x flava var rubricorpora - Apalachicola that I'm really looking forward to. The seed pods are nicely swollen! Guest Aidan
The seed pods are nicely swollen! You're going to need a bigger greenhouse. Even if each pod averages only 50 seed, that's 350 plants you have to find a home for... ... or maybe twice that number!

Well if that's the case, I might just have to find a home for them in the Seed Bank! :) That's what my bro said. Amar, you're so naughty!!
