N. campantulata conditions

Hey all,

I just got the above plant.

Right now it is in my lowland tank in a plastic bag and next to the heater. I have heard that it needs to be hot and humid or it will not do well. My question is is it as pickey as everyone has told me? And if I can take it out of the bag, how would I acclimate it to growing in less humidity?

Loads of light is needed, unlike a lot of more typical lowlanders. And don't let it get too waterlogged, although it wants to be moist. It's a cliff-dweller. I have killed one plant by keeping it in a shady tank (an experiment), and it has done best for me with direct sun on it for part of the day.

Otherwise it's not as fussy about temps like "true" lowlanders. Warm-intermediate is probably more like it. But for sure don't let it get too cool, or lower the humidity too much. Stuffy conditions don't seem to bother it as much as I thought they might.

But others will have had different experience, and will prob chime in with that.

to acclamate it to less humididy id open the bag but i wouldnt take it out *yet* and leave it like that a few days that should do the trick!
