Yes, I am a she. I'm still not quite sure why so many people seem to find that surprising.

Surprising, no. Relatively unusual, yes. For some undefined reason an interest in the carnivorous plants was not so long ago an almost exclusively male preserve. Numbers are growing, but the ladies are still very much in the minority.

It's because we, as kids, liked to pull out flys' wings. Girls don't do things like that. In general. ;)

It's because we, as kids, liked to pull out flys' wings. Girls don't do things like that. In general. ;)

I must be in the general then. I simply feed the flies to my pitcher plant. Much more satisfying.
