.+sl4yer+.
any months ago I have bought from Nepenti a sarracenia x moorei. now that is grow the flower, I have noticed that it doesn't have the coloration typical of a x moorei because it extends to the dark red. now the red has become a clearer, but it is always dark. Is it a x moorei? some photos (excuse me for the quality of photos): http://www.cpukforum.co.uk/uploader/user_u.../immagine_1.JPG http://www.cpukforum.co.uk/uploader/user_u.../immagine_2.JPG http://www.cpukforum.co.uk/uploader/user_u.../immagine_3.JPG thanks to everybody. bucky78
Just because it has a red flower doesn't mean that it isn't a moorei. I have mooreis that have red flowers. I think that it just means that the Leuco in it has more influence. It is a good looking plant though!
Jonathan
There's not any noticeable flava influence in pitchers for a first generation moorei either....
Guest Aidan
Please keep posted images to a reasonable size. Around 750 x 750 pixels is the recommendation. Images changed to links.
gardenofeden
looks more like a readii, that would explain the flowers too

Guest Sheila
I would ask Nepenti to look at the photos and confirm its identity. It doesn't appear to have any flava at all in it and the flower is very dark red. With a flava crossing you would usually expect the red flower to be paler, but it is possible that it is just a hybrid that is deeply leucophylla influenced. Altair
I think the flower is too dark for a moorei, even if it's influenced only by leucophylla. This is leucophylla MK L20B flower, it's not that red: So, I think it's more readii than moorei
