Which two are the same clone Aidan?

I didn't include Green Dragon VFT Guy since not many people have them over here. The other Australian cultivars are more widespread thanks to Trev in Ireland importing them.

The White is there because it's a dudey looking plant

I like the Red Purple/Big Mouth, even through i don't have it  . if the cup form was on here, i would vote for it. i also like the white ones, through i don't know if they even exist (only seen one pic of one so far). Zongyi :)

Since neither Slack's Giant nor South West Giant are registered cultivars, and, afaik no published description is available, is not the distinction between them somewhat hypothetical?

(at least I cannot find them listed in the ICPS Cultivar list)

Hi Trev,

The South West giant plant actually came originally from Adrian Slack. Graham Sadd has the full details.. The other plant which is labelled as Slack's giant is the G16 clone from Graham's growlist. This was pointed out to me by Graham at a recent open day.

Mike, I'm not sure this is true. SW Giant grows big traps on long petioles wheras the G16 I received from you stays mostly rosetted.

SW Giant:

Slack's G16:

Slack

The SW Giant traps also never seem to go completely red, unlike Slack's.

Exactely my findings also.

How can they be the same plant :?:

As Alvin says - my slacks giant grows all leaves on the ground.

My S.W.Giant has always done the exact opposite !

Hi Alexis, Hi Dave,

That is because G16 is not Slack's giant..This was pointed out to me from Graham Sadd.

The best is to contact Graham about this plant's origins.

Is everyone as confused as me ? :?

Well alexis means in his post the plants he has posted pics of.

I still vote for Slacks Giant. :)

Thanks Mike.

I never got around to speaking to Graham at your open day. Phil seems to know quite a lot though after talking to him too. Maybe he knows where this monster plant came from?

Oh well, I think I'll leave the label in as 'Slack's Giant' as it sound better than 'G16'..
