Altair
I got some small tubers of this plant in summer 2005 and now they are flowering for the first time. The only tuberous I grow is peltata so my question is: are tubaestylis self-pollinating? And are D. tubaestylis seeds as easy to germinate as D. peltata or do they need some tricks? Thanks! JanW
Selfpollination is very unlikely. Perhaps you get seeds from hand pollination but I think you will need more than one cross. Do you know whether your plants are genetically different?
Altair
I have 5 different tubers and I hope they're from seed. I self-pollinated the first flower this afternoon. If the plants must be genetically different, I'll collect some pollen and I'll use it later for the other plants.

Fredders
I've been growing D. tubaestylis for about 7 years and never had them produce seeds by themself. I've never actually tried to pollinate them, mainly because it took me 4 years to finally get them to flower. And also the form I has always produces extra tubers.
