Flytrap_canada
Years ago when I visited Leo Song at the CSUF CP grow-op, Leo mentioned that you can really pump up the growth and size of VFTs (grown from seed) by giving them 24 hr lighting. Leo also mentioned that this was only good until the seedling VFT starts to flower (ie. maturity). Once it hints of flowering, it was time to give it the usual diurnal/nocturnal photocycle and winter rest...back to it's boring life. Any of you tried this? Guest Aidan
Photosythesis comes in two parts; the Light Reaction and the Dark Reaction. I can remember being (incorrectly) taught at school that the Dark Reaction occured only at night. The Light Reaction as the name suggests is light dependant, but the Dark Reaction is a bit of a misnomer as it is light independant and may occur in daylight. Having said that, plants are adapted to a diurnal cycle so there is likely to be a trade-off somewhere.
Trev
That's interesting... I'll give it a try. Thanks, Trev.
