Nepenthes in Gunung Brinchang

Recommended Posts

Hello :D !

My best friend, Gaëtan Danset - a fellow entomologist specialised in the study of the Chrysomelidae beetles- came back from Malaysia in early june where he took some shots of unindentified Nepenthes for me:

The site is quite known and is called "Mossy jungle". It is located in Gunung Brinchang (2000 m), Cameron Highlands, in Malaysia.

Here are the jewelries...

My dear friend was supposed to find numerous damselflies and dragonflies but he just brought me "common" species.:D Hey! You can't have everything! Tasty, nonetheless!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Maybe some some of you will be able to ID the plants!

(I was thinkink about Nepenthes macfarlanei for the last picture)

Friendly,

François.

Yes it is Nepenthes macfarlanei , this is the only species from that area with so many hairs under the lid.

Hello :D !

Thanks for the kind words. And thanks to Joachim for ID of the fourth Nepenthes. Macfarlanei is an elegant species.

Any idea, anyone, about the gracious white aerial pitcher of the third picture?

François.
