P.corsica (many pictures!) - 4. part / habitat

Recommended Posts

Ok, here the maybe most important and last pictures of my trip.

They were all taken above 1715m metres, around and above the highland lake of Melo, so some or many of them have to be P.corsica f. pallidula, but you can never be sure because the flowers where nearly all pale in this area and maybe the colour of many of them not genetically fixed.

Hi Valentin (what is the J. standing for? Johannes? )*,

what a dramatic landscape :!: The sky also looks a bit threatening! I would have appreciated joining you! I believe you´ve had a great vacation!

P. corsica is a very lovely species in my opinion. I like the flower very much although I would prefer the lilac colouration against the pale one.

Thanks for posting these fabulous photos!

Regards,

Andreas

* Huh, this darned curiosity some people have! :D

Indeed

Yep, very enjoyable, in my opinion corsica is the greatest location for holidays in the mediterranean area!

I would prefer the lilac colouration against the pale one.

Everybody has his own tastes :)

What I like within the pale P.corsica flowers is that they are looking way different to the usual temperates like P.vulgaris and P.grandiflora. As I already mentioned I prefer the plants and flowers of the plants growing nearly below the lake. Unfortunetely most of the pictures especially from above the lake were really bad aswell as most of the closer pictures of my favourite flowers

Greetings,

Valentin
