Rob-Rah
Hi, I have been growing two clones of N. clipeata for a year or more now. I have clones "2" and "U". My clone "U" is far more vigorous than "2" in the same conditions. I will post pics soon, but I wondered if anyone has made any other comparative observations concerning the handful of clones being propagated by Wistuba? Cheers. bux
Hi, I have the 3 N. clipeata clones. I grow them on windowsill. They have the same size for the moment. bux
BobZ
There is a lot of discussion about clipeata and hybrids here http://pitcherplants.proboards34.com/index...read=1139842954
Sockhom
Hello . Does someone know if Andreas Wistuba has determined the gender of his clones? Regards.
Rob-Rah
Well thought I'd feedback. After a couple of years growing slowly and just sort of surviving my clone 2 has died. Exactly the same conditions as clone U, which has prospered. Annoying and rather perplexing. Cheers.
Sockhom
Hello Rob . I'm sorry for you. My clone U is doing well too. Though, it has slowered a bit due to the recent heat waves. Do you know why your clone 2 died? Any clue? By the way, was there a difference in aspect when compared to clone U? Friendly, François. Rob-Rah
By the way, was there a difference in aspect when compared to clone U? It was smaller, slower and weaker! :-) Seriously, it never grew well enough to see what mature pitchers might look like. It appearred to be somewhat less hairy than clone U too, perhaps indicating that it wants less bright/exposed conditions. Both of mine were grown in bright light and temps 22-32C. I would try more damp, a bit shadier and cooler conditions for clone 2 if I treid it again. Best wishes
manders
I have had clone U & 2 for about 6 months, growth rate is similar, i keep them in intermediate/highland conditions and fairly bright but not much direct sun. I also have a hybrid one (with eymae?) for much longer but growth rate is similar as to the 2 & u clones.

Sockhom
Hello Manders ! Healthy plants you have there! How long do you grow them? What are the hybrid's parents? Friendly, François.
manders
Francois, I had the hybrid for since summer 2005, and the other two for about 6 months only. I dont know what hybrid it is, I bought it from france of ebay. Probably clipeata*eymae or (clipeata*eymae)*clipeata! They all grow at the same pace.
