Triangular Trap

It looks like a cup trap that tried to go double, and stopped.

Try looking at http://www.humboldt.edu/~rrz7001/Dionaea.html under "strange growth".

Being a lover of strange growth in plants and snails (shell collecting is another hobby), I just have to say it's quite awsome!

Malformed traps are surprisingly common and a good number are posted to the forum each year. Here are a couple of mine on the same plant from last summer:

Somewhat remarkably, the traps do often appear to function despite the malformation. A dead fly can just be seen in the trap in the second image.

Hello,

the trap could'nt work and it hadn't senvitive hairs.
