Rob-Rah
Hi, I have just been sorting through my pots of tuberous Drosera. Unfortunatley one got capsized and the lot turned out - D. platypoda. The tuber was there and had produced an inch long stolon already. In trying (as carefully as I could) to get it repotted, the stolon broke away from the tuber. Is it likely to regrow another one, or is the tuber destined to shrivel and the plant die? Cheers. Rob-Rah
Yeah, I was reflecting on that topic last night just after it happened. It implies a new stolon will probably be produced (or that the broken-off piece of stolon will grow and make a new tuber in spring?), but I wondered if anyone else had managed to damage theirs and could say what happens in practice. JanW
In my experience most tubers will grow a new stolon. But better pray that it does, nothing is certain. Good luck, Jan
