Genlisea roraimensis

I have some different plants as Genlisea roraimensis in cultivation but only one of these plants is the true species.

The first photo shows a plant which originates from the Bot. Garden Bonn (Germany) which is definitely a form of G. repens.

The second one comes from Lowrie’s seeds with the term G. roraimensis (Mt. roraima 2750 m).

This plant is also a local form of G. repens.

However, the spur is conspicuous and the flower stalk is nearly 18 cm in height.

Finally this is the true Genlisea roraimensis from Cerro Huachamachari (Venezuela).

The small flower is just about 1 cm in diameter.

The spur is quaracteristic which is shorter than the lower lobe of the flower.

This is also the most distincitve feature to the other yellow flowered species from South-America.

The spatulate leaves are quite thick.

:D

Your photos are splendid...

Is the hairy/glandular floral stem caracteristic of Genlisea roraimensis?

Because the first and the second photos have stem without any hair and the photos of the true roraimensis have mainy hairs on their stems...

Nice pics!!!!

Yes G.roraimensis has hairy scapes while those of G.repens are smooth. The spur is similar to that of G.filiformis. I was quite surprised w/ the 1st G.repens -- what a strange flower!
