Hello so when I was In Ipoh I visited the Nepenthes park in Kledang Siaong which is about 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur also if you ever visit on the roadside there are tons of Nepenthes Gracilis and apparently on the road up Gunung Kledang some green and spotted Nepenthes Albomarginata also there are Drosera Burmanii which I am trying to find. In this park there were many Nepenthes approximately 72 different types of nepenthes all lowlanders as well as some highlanders, And to my amazement they had 3 Nepenthes clipeatas growing in the ground. I need some help caring for my nepenthes ventrata, but before I start should probably tell you about the hell I’ve put it through.(my first plant bought at a festival) I’ve cut off yellowed leaves, given it fertilizer, and left it in direct sunlight longer than it needs. Pretty sure its a ventrata because any other nepenthes probably would have died by now. Its been a year now and i’ve gotten really into gardening and would like to start over(working on bromeliad,coleus,and lungwort). It has orchid bark and spagnum moss, gets well watered with distilled/collected rain water once a day. Also ha -
I live in a really dusty part of town and my Pinguicula got covered in it and I'm wondering if there is any method for cleaning off all that dust. I've been thinking about letting the plant sit in the rain for a few minutes, since they live in the wilderness naturally, so there's no cover from rain water, but I don't want to damage the plant. Any ideas for cleaning are welcome

Looking at my little D. capensis today I have seen many of the ends of the tentacles where the mucus comes from have turned black and some of the new leaves coming out look black!!!!! Are they done for, is it a fungus, black root rot!!! REALLY don't want to lose the first lot I have got to grow. Any help more than welcome.

I'd like to pin down once and for all the infomation I'm picking up from the net about watering carnivorous plants with tap water. While I know it is bad for them and I still use filtered rain water for mine I have seen advice ranging from "It is ok now and again" to "YOU WILL TEAR APART THE FABRIC OF SPACE TIME IF YOU DO" well not that bad but have seen "Even a drop is a 100% kill for CP's". I know there are fancy filters on the market and such and even people saying to use deionised water (the type for car batteries and irons) at a push if stuck. But is tap water as a one off really that bad
