  1. Hi here’s some watercolour paintings of lowii and veitchii, the pieces are up for sale if anyone is interested.
  2. Here are some quick shots of my hep seedlings. I forgot to turn the leds off so they're a bit pink. here are a few more. Here are a few more, I just got a new point and shoot so I'm fiddling around with it. maybe these came out little better? only thing is this time the fogger was on, gah can't get it just right yet. I guess I have to do it wrong before I do it right. Here is a tiny N. kinabaluensis (N. villosa x N. rajah) despite its size I really like the shape its grown into very shapely for such a small specimen. two seed grown hamata and a small AW macro, among others. N. ramspina N. jamban and N. lowii an old BE N. hamata shadowing three sg eddies N. flava finally starting to look flava like N. vietchii already striping itself out and a complete chamber shot. Here is a cool little rajah, I got it at the same time as the other 4 and its from the same seed pod but its growth is really out pacing the others. thank you for looking. As I figure out how to take better pics and maybe a vid I'll try to improve the photo quality and color.
  3. Hi everyone, I currently have in my collection a young plant grown from wild Nepenthes lowii seeds harvested on the Kinabalu. It grows pretty well with my other highlanders, maybe too quickly for a N. lowii, but... Do you think it looks like a pure N. lowii ? I find it very hairy, looks quite similar to something like N. lowii x veitchii or else. What's your opinion ?
  4. Hi guys, I just placed an order for 2 N. Rajah, an N. Lowii and an N. Inermis. Does anyone else grow these from wistuba that could show some pics of what to expect from them. when they arrive i'll be sure to post piccies!
  5. Dear all, For those who are interested, I've uploaded a small selection of my own photographs from the recent Redfern expedition to Palawan and Borneo to Facebook; you shouldn't need to be a FB friend or member to view the images. You can view the album here. Whilst fairly difficult owing to the number of peaks attempted in the time available, the expedition was a great success and members were able to view all the species they had hoped to see, along with a few bonuses that included Nepenthes we had not planned on encountering, some new orchid taxa and two species of Rafflesia. With respect, I will not add people I do not know as friends on Facebook, so please do not take it personally if I do not acknowledge a random request; I use the service for friends and family only. Please let me know should you encounter any problems viewing the album. Best wishes, Alastair.
