    APHIDS

Hey, I'm pretty sure I have aphids on my Pinguicula (I was given it as a gift and not sure of what type) I have segregated it from the rest of my carnivorous plants but I'm not sure how to treat them, anyone got know anything more about controlling aphids? Cheers!
  2. Yeah they're Nepenthes Hookeriana and Heliamphora Heterodoxa X Nutans, I got them from Hampshire Carnivorous Plants! Thanks for the help, was just making sure!
  3. Hi, I recently bought a Nepenthes and a Heliamphora for the first time and think something may be up with them so any help or opinion would be awesome! Both plants were damaged from the postal service so have got some damage from that. Cheers! http://i.imgur.com/8BEm4FD.jpg Sorry for it being the wrong way round!) In this picture you can see that theres two brown dots on one of the main trumpet, anyone know why this is? Also the spoons don't seem to have any nectar in them? http://imgur.com/8BEm4FD,KPjWlcT,jEDphBs#2 The Nepenthes has developed a pinky colour on its leaves since I received it they have definitely developed, and have become more visible over time. I know the traps are a mess but most of them were squashed when delivered to me. Thanks for any help!
  4. Thanks for the help, its all been very useful!
  5. Yeah, I've tried replicating its previous conditions. It hasn't got any winter leaves so I wasn't sure how often to water it, should I water it as if it was not winter because it hasn't got any winter leaves? Im still new to growing Cephs and Carnivorous plants!
  6. This is the plant, I haven't repotted it since it arrived to reduce the stress. The lids are almost fully shut on the traps but I read that this could be to stop the liquid evaporating, or is it because another condition? the traps are still firm though. Any recommendations on its care will be greatly appreciated! cheers!
  7. I got my first Cephalotus about 3 weeks ago and they had no fluid in them when I received them and still have no fluid in them. Im still new to growing Cephs but I thought that there should be fluid in them by now, any suggestions? cheers! :)
