  1. I'm not familar with those area sorry. I only have this information as i plan to visit the nursery in the near future. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  2. Try this location YG park nusery. Address: No. 8, Taman Pinggiran Terla, 39010 Kuala Terla Entrance is directly opposite Cameron Valley Tea House. Office no.: 05-4982866, or 4983186 (Refer to Ms. Chong / Ms. Yonie) Look for Kuala Terla on map.
  3. This was aug 2013 when i split my ceph into 3 After the repot. Many pitcher dried n died as expected due to disturbance in the roots. I'm sure I accidentally pull out some roots. In 3 to 4 monts later in dec 2013 they look like this. I think some growth did slow down. But luckily 1 diversions wasn't affected much and seems to be growing well. Dec2013 Yes I think I should not split my pot now. Let it grow bigger. Perhaps I'll take more leaf to grow. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  4. 8 diversions. Nice! Maybe I should split my 2 pot of small cephs since they seems to have 2 to 3 diversion now. Thw last time I split the main pot was last nov I think. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  5. Nice healthy roots pulsar. How deep were the pots. And what is the new pot height? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  6. Good point John, As my places is a all year tropical environment. I try not to change anything for the plants. Maybe I will give 1 pot of ceph a force dormancy where it's cooler in NOV/DEC 28-29°C just to see how the plant turns up. Lesser light and water, but definitely not the fridge method.
  7. Tonight I will try and record down the conditions and see what happens after a few days or probably a week then. Thanks so much Marcus and everyone for your feedbacks.
  8. I only have 3 pot diversion clones of the same plant. The photo I show is the only plant with 3 mature pitcher. The other 2 remains small pitchers. They are all in dried lfs. The only different color I see is when the pitcher is dying, pink to yellow to brown to black. The pot size and colder enviroment. I think I will try to cold treatment. You have share somw nice idea. I have a styrofoam box and I think i can try 1 of the pot in cold treatment for a few months to see how the colour comes out. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  9. Phil Green. I believe it is not grown in Cameron Highland. But i believe alot of typical carnivorous plants are being clone and establish so to sell from there as it is a good enviroment for cp. Where the original of the clones come.from. I dont know. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  10. Good to learn that from you but not good news to me. My home in a high rise building got no sun and very hot and humid here. I have artificial lights to compensate the lack of sun but I cannot do anything about the temperature. Maybe.. will putting ice on top of the soil during the night helps? 11. My location is in South East Asia, an island country call Singapore. Tropical weather all year. Maybe in 29 degrees Celsius in dec and 38 in may and aug. I didn't know cold temp triggers the coloration. I always thought light from sun or bulbs will trigger color. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  12. Does Cephalotus changes color as it gets older? From green to purplish, pinkish or black? I ask this because I see many photos of adult/mature cephalotus in different colour and not just plain green. But this pot of mine remains green. Edited: This is a typical and i think this Cephalotus I have is mass propagated in a nusery from Malaysia, Cameron Highlands.

  15. I'm not sure but I doubt so. Because from the first day I got this plant until now. The look is exactly the same except it grew slightly bigger maybe by 1/2 . I see Bohemian Garnet lools quite different. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

  17. I would like to share the flowers stalk from Drosera 'Marston Dragon' This is one of the biggest flower stalk I've ever seen. Althought I don't have many different plants, I see a lot of flowers of Drosera from internet. My Marston Dragon didn't bloom every flower and I think all the flowers didn't bloom (open) fully. I was lucky to still see some nice flowers. On another side note. With flowers coming out from the plant. I realized that leaf unfold from the top and flowers unfold from the bottom. Check the last 2 photo to see what I mean. This is a leaf from the plant, not a good example, but it unfold upwards The flower stalk unfold downwards - now it's easier for me to know and I will simply cut off all the flower stalk because when it opens up, it's quite messy.
  18. Sorry to hear that man. I will go crazy if I see something like that. Perhaps writing the instruction down on a paper and sticking it to your green house or somewhere, asking your neighbour to read before watering might help next time.... if there is going to be a next time :)
  19. Those white furry stuff on the side is trying to reflect heat. If it continue to become a triangle shape means it's quite hot. There are some good guides around. Take a look here http://encyclo.free.fr/pages/dros_pyg.htm#Gemmae
  20. Thanks Daniel O! I enjoy growing CP and sometimes there are moments during the growing which it's a must for me to capture into video. Cheers!
  21. No wonder the photo of those vft in the tin can looks kinda weird haha.. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  22. Interesting experiment. In my over 1 over year of keeping vft. I used to keep them in peat moss perlite start Feb 2013 to aug 2013. Starting growth was good. Because plants are small and growing too. Later due to inexperience. I change all my vft soil to 100% dried NZ premium sphagnum moss, my vft too grew well till now. My very short growing time in these 2 set of media tell that vft likes them. But I didn't have good details on how well they grew due.to many inexperience setbacks. I wish you the best and hope to hear some good knowledge from your experiment :) Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  23. Geez arnaudcarni, you have a nice collection of plants. Looking at them makes mw drool.. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  24. There is 1 Drosera I keep in my office, it's growing very slow. While the other tokaiensis has grow very big, I given many away. While all the others were green, this particular one remains small and to the point of .... RED! Drosera Tokaiensis red anthocyanin overload
