  1. Hi Tony, hope you're OK.

Just noticed that the gallery and growlist links on your posts aren't working. They point to the current page, not your gallery or growlist. Thought you might like to know.

Ah, cheers for that, i hadn't thought of checking them under the new system. Trouble is, i can't find where to edit a sig yet, do you have any idea ? Maybe the ability to add or edit a sig hasn't been enabled yet.

  5. Should be interesting trying my hand at growing Cephalotus Follicularis from seed. fingers crossed it works out better than my attempt at D. Spatulata :/

Good luck with that, i admire your patience ! I got sent some leaf pullings of Eden Black, Big Boy, and Adrian Slack about 2 months ago and although they're all still alive, i dunno if they've rooted in the sphagnum yet. No growth above ground yet anyway. As for Spatulata, if you want to pm me your address, i'll send you a few of my excess seedlings, they're about 1 inch in diameter now.

I'm lovin Carnisana myself, they come across as dead nice people who always throw the freebies around, but their plants have always been very healthy too and the service is great, my second order is in the post right now

My Sanguinea seems to be very slow too, unlike my Ventrata which is very vigorous and is visibly growing at about 0.5cm a day !

So how did your plants survive ? Everything still healthy and alive hopefully ? Did you get a neighbour to top the water levels up, or did you just flood them before you went ?

  13. It's funny how sarracenia grow on you, I was never that interested before but now I find myself eying things like flava var. rugelii and thinking "hmm I'd like one of those"

That's uncanny. I got into this hobby when i was given about half a dozen Sarracenia, some known and unknown hybrids, and a few seed pods. At first i found Sarra's to be plain and uninteresting, thinking they all looked more or less the same. I still think that to a certain extent now, although i am starting to realise the very slight differences and have decided i would like to get all the basic species and their natural hybrids. But to be honest, i haven't got time or interest i...
