I always loved Japanese culture and this video just make me love it more and more. I cannot really see how this can be considered child labour or lack of individuality, this is what primary school should do. I find it useless to learn math, poetry and others in small childrens if they don't learn to respect each other, respect the environment and respect every civic aspect..this is education as it's best. Sometimes it happens to hear that japanese are all "robots" lacking of individuality..well that's obviusly craps,i found them to be a well organized society where everybody is aware of being part of something bigger and cooperate for a common purpose..well that's the idea i got from outside:) I really hope to visit Japan someday, nice video:) Luca Ps. sorry for necroposting,i just saw when this was posted

Hi guys,i'm planning to build an automatic irrigation for my terrarium but my knowledge in this matter is poor. My idea is very simple,a pump (with a timer) in a barrel and a 5mm pipe going trough the pots (with a couple of holes for every pot),do you think that drippers are needed? i have to water 15 pots with every pumps (2 pumps for 2 watering zone),do you think i'll have a problem with the different pressure in the first and the last hole? Please share any suggestion:) Luca

Hi guys,i'd like to put some miniature orchids in my intermediate/HL terrarium but i cannot find any species that will fit my conditions. I have: SUMMER: Day 28 Night 20 (Tmax 29) Humidity 65% WINTER Day 21° Night 12 (Tmin 10°) Humidity 70% LIGHTS LEVEL 1-13k Lux I was looking for Aerangis and Angraecum but i read that they're intermediate/lowland and prefer minimun temps below 15°. Any suggestion? Luca

Dan i understand your feelings but i don't really get the point. If i sell something i'm free to choose the buyer, maybe someone arrived before you,or simply as manders said, payed before you. Even if he choose only upon liking there's nothing to complain about,it's in his freedom as a private seller.

That's an interesting subject, does it means that one day all divisions of the same in clone will slowly begin to expire? Or when a division form and get divided from motherplants it's a "new life" so it's age starts from zero? Luca

There are also some nice forum about specific species, for example -Highland nepenthes group -Lowland nepenethes group -White pitcher plants -Flava pitcher plants -Tuberous drosera and many many other, there are also some trading boards I don't own any of those pages, they're really very active..take a look Luca

That's not a consumer problem,if you have plants that look crap i cannot understand why i should buy it. A greengrocers with crap vegetables will throw them away as none will buy it,or at least will put a good discount on them,i cannot see the difference. We surely don't live in a perfect world but we have some good rules, one of them is that when you buy something that you cannot physically choose you should be able to see a photo of it and if what you recive isn't what you bought than you can have your money back. I cannot see why rules that are applied to every online shop are not valid for online CP vendor. There's only a name for selling crap plants insted of the healthy and good looking ones on your website and it's fraud. That said mine is only a general speach,i never had any problem with any online nurcery, the only times i recived crappy plants i got a fast refund, but it'll surely be better to see what you're actually buying, maybe asking for a photo before the payment,so the vendor doesn't need to upload loads of pic on his website Luca

That's surely the most amazing thing i've seen on youtube so far. Fantastic! I don't know how people in NZ have taken the association NZ=Middle earth that's going on for publicity purpose, but it's surely a great example of marketing Luca

Hi guys,i need some suggestions. I'm planning on expanding my actual nepenthes cultivation area (wich is 80x80x150) and build a growroom in my basement. The idea is to build a 3mtx3mtx3mt cube with a wooden structure and a polystyrene covering and inside this "chamber" build a groowrom wich can be expanded just adding new panels and more light. I already have a 150w starter and a dimmable 150/250/400w,my idea is to use both reaching 300w first and then adding more light when needed, and here some questions: -Do you suggest using both MH lamps or 1 MH and 1HPS? -Do you suggest inclined lamps or perpendicular? -Wich area can be covered with 300w? and with 400w? I choosed those type of light because they add heat to light and that's useful, but any other suggestions is welcome I'm also looking for suggestions from others who grow inside, particularly on automatic watering Thanks in advance Luca

It's not true that italian post doesnt accept live plants, the real problem is that we have a terrible post service expecially when importing and lots of boxes (if not signed) get lost. The solution is quite simple, choose only signed shipping

That's outstanding!:) if there's something like a wishlist please put me in Luca

Many thanks guys,i decided to go with pygmy, they're beautiful. Richard you say that they take no space, but i heard that they need tall pots,do you confirm that? Luca Ps. that site is great, really! Gives a lot of infos and nice shots too

Hi Adelae, many thanks for your reply. The problem is that i'm alredy running a couple of nepenthes terrarium so other artificial light on the bill will lead to one simple result...me living with my plants in the basement My idea was about something similar in needing to the mexican pinguicola i alredy have, warm period outside in full sun and protected from rain and wind and winter outside the window, where (closing the shutters) i can manage to keep the temps near 4° C at night but where they get only 4-5 hours of sun a day. Probably none of the plant mentioned before (or maybe pigmy?) will do is best in this condition,so i have to compromise:) Luca

Hi guys,i need a suggestion from you sundew passionates :) I never considered cultivating Drosera because i always saw them as a weedy and messy plants, but in this period looking around at your wonderful tuberous droseras or pigmy ones i'm starting to appreciate them a lot and i'd like to give them a try. My focus is to cultivate one specific gruop of droseras (or pigmy or tuberous for example) but i really cannot choose, there are a lot of nice "groups" and here is the help i need..i'm looking for something less messy or weedy as possible ( i really dont appreciate pots full of capensis where you can't even understand what is what and dirt is sticked everywhere) that can suit well my conditions: -I have a place on my balcony where i grow mex. pinguicola which get sun from late morning to evening and covered from rain, during winter it gets near 0° C at night and they get only few hours of direct sun. Air humidity is near 40% in summer higher in the rest of the year. During winter i can keep them inside in front of a south facing window, but there they'll get no direct sun at all (or only a few) What do you suggest me to start with? Luca
