  1. Time for the last update of the year, just snapped some new photo's of the plants :)
  2. 1. Hummers Giant, 2.Big Boy, 3. Dudley Watts
  3. Pea a use a mix bought from eBay, il try and find the link
  4. so far theres only me has them, and not sold or swapped any cuttings yet so they would struggle ;)
  5. I kept it covered for a couple months to keep humidity up then removed the lid when I noticed some growth, its a plastic container that fresh soups come in from the supermarket so the lid fits tight and stops any drying out. when I took the lid off I put a few holes near the bottom and placed it on the window cil with my other plants standing in some water. until then I had it on top of one of my fish tanks near a window but doesn't get much direct sun for most the day, the heat from the tank helped too maybe. For my own records iv been calling the largest green plant "Coxon's Rocket" and the slightly smaller red/darker clone "Red Rocket". Red Rocket is due a re-pot soon so il update with new photo's and hopefully grab a few pullings from it in the process :)
  6. hi corky! yes taken end of july.. I took some earlier but they all slowy turned brown and died I tried floating these ones in water after reading that thread about the method so tried it til they rooted then potted them up and its worked much better. they seem to be doing very well. all these are from my biggest plant not tried any from the other good one yet as it doesn't produce many leaves but il be trying soon! ;)
  7. Update on leaf pullings :) looking good and more importantly... growing fast!! =)
  8. looking good awp!! real good
  9. how do you go about registering a clone properly? my 2 seedlings that are showing tremendous growth rates might be worthy of this but im not sure how to go about it properly? im still quite far away from this as I would like to see how quickly the leaf pullings grow first but its something iv been thinking about.
  10. hi yes they live together in the same tray on my kitchen window cil, its south facing so they get the sun most of the day in equal amounts. I only took them outside to take the photos.
  11. all growing well, even the little typical sized one. however as you can see its still tiny compared to the other 2
  12. Had a day off today so took a few snaps with my new camera of my seedlings:
  13. iv tired this method with great success, took some leaf pullings around 4 weeks ago and put in a jam jar with ro water, all have produced small roots. how long do you guys wait until you pot them up?
  14. all the same age Richard, from the same batch of seeds planted at the same time
  15. just took this quick snap on my iphone which shows the size difference (Left Plant 2, center plant 3, right plant 1)
  16. new update coming soon guys, all plants still doing well! and iv just bought a new camera so expect better photos! :) btw 2 leaf pullings failed, one is still going ok (still green but showing no signs of growth so far) iv pulled 4 more leaves and im now trying to root them floating in water as I don't seem to be getting much joy the traditional way...
  17. cool veek! are these just floating on the surface of the water? im going to give it a try in a glass milk bottle
