  1. Hello, I am looking for help concerning my reverse osmosis system and water pH. I moved from a city with really hard, alkaline water. I use a simple three-stage RO system that worked quite well getting the TDS down below 10 ppm and the pH slightly acid, about 6.5. The city I live in now has similar tap water. However, my purified water is just as alkaline as tap, above 7.5. The system appears to be working as it reduces TDS from 300+ ppm to under 10 ppm.   2. Is there any benefit to using urea free fertilizer? I have the choice between Miracle-Gro Orchid Food 30-10-10 (nitrogen from urea) or Better-Gro Orchid Plus 20-14-13 (nitrogen fron nitrate, plus Magnesium). I want to spray a dilute solution to the leaves of my Nepenthes and maybe some other carnivorous plants. Thanks for any advice.
  3. This is my first post here, so first I'd like to say hello to everyone. I am a beginner grower of carnivorous plants with a small collection I've had just over a year. I have a concern about my nepenthes sanguinea. It is medium sized, and have had it almost a year. It appears healthy and has produced really nice pitchers in the past few months. In the past week, two of the leaves that are about six months old have turned yellow and died. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I should be concerned.
