  1. A friend got really good germination lately. He first soaked the seed in water for 4 days, then scarified the seed and soaked again for another 3 days. It's in spanish but you can see his post here: http://www.carnivoras-la.org/forum/phpBB3/...?f=17&t=520
  2. Hello, Today I found this article. A very small frog described as Microhyla nepenthicola was published, but what is most interesting is that it breeds and lives inside pitchers of Nepenthes ampullaria, very interesting. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-11095728
  3. Great report Daniel, a very interesting species with lots of variability, now I am interested in seeing the flowers with violet hairs. Thanks for sharing.

  12. Great success with some rare plants Dudo, congratulations and thanks for sharing. So you first germinate in one medium (which one?) and then replate to propagation medium? Regards, Sebastian
  13. Looks like U.bisquamata to me
  14. Wow Sean, that's a lot of patience. I have never waited so long for germination. Thanks for the information.
  15. Hi Miguel, Thanks for the info about fertilizing. I will try that with my new seedlings, I have some D.auriculata seedlings about 2 months old that have not grown too much until now (3 or 4 leaved small rosettes). I am practically new with tuberous as my previous attempts failed because I had too high temperatures, now I am trying again since I recently moved to the highlands. By the way, your plants look amazing and well grown. Regards, Sebastian
  16. This is great information Dieter, What is your recommended pot depth for germinating D.ramellosa and D.peltata? D.ramellosa needs any treatment?
  17. MFS, how do you fertilize your plants?
  18. Here is my P.lusitanica starting to grow it's first flower: And some of my P.grandiflora ssp. grandiflora plants, first year from gemmae I received last December: Also, some plants of P.emarginata:
  19. The plant really recovered and has been growing fine. It is now going to bloom for the first time: Thanks for your help saving it.
  20. Recently one of my VFTs got a slug. Only one half fitted inside the trap, and the other half hung to the outside. Also, one of my D.indica plants, got a pierid butterfly.
  21. Congratulations, this really is a rare event. Thanks for sharing. Do you think there is something that triggered the blooming?
