    Whilst replacing some glass in mine I added a new, and remarkably clean, pane. Shortly after adding it I put my hand through it to clip in another pane. One more cut and one less pane... The moral of the story is either "Use polycarbonate" or "Don't try to reach through glass"

    Mine as of today. The pitchers seem to get lighter over time. As of yet I've not seen any veining occurring, despite one of the pitchers being open a couple of weeks. You may have to click on the images to get a full version. Sorry :)

    As an update on the plant. It has three new growth points appearing and the original growth point is practically back to normal. Now I'm wondering if these new points are as a result of losing the main one for a time or not.

    The location of the original poster. Leeds gets pretty damn chilly in winter, like most of the UK really. (In Sheffield a few years back we had a night at -17C)

    I think "bud" might refer more to certain smokeable vegetation rather than plant anatomy I could be wrong though.

    Welcome to the forums. Whereabouts are you in Yorkshire? I've managed to grow Nepenthes, Cephalotus and VFTs on a non-south facing window. Granted, they didn't thrive, but they grew!

    As much as I love to have decent compost I can't quite bring myself to start sacrificing my plants for it! Maybe in a decade or so, when the "problem" of too many plants hits me

    I don't believe I've had any dealings with you in the past, but I'm certainly sad you've been pushed to this point. All the best for the future, and try not to let all the crap get to you. And if you do compost them all, make sure you put it to good use on some veggies. Would be a shame to completely waste them.
