  2. Hi Mark, When I had one of these I often saw pitchers developing this way but often they would still grow to full size, i often thought it was where the humidity had dropped quite low for a short period of time as not all of the ones on mine developed like that, still very nice plant well done. Ben
  3. Cheers Gareth I think it should be ok and that is the problem I have had when ever I have bought seeds, they never seams quite fresh enough, I'm going to have to wait untill I'm in New Zealand before I can start to try and build my collection again. Cheers Ben
  4. Very nice plants wish i could grow from seed but I have never had much luck, I don't suppose to could supply any more information about the seller? I don't know if its against forum rules or anything. But still nice plants and some look like they will have some great colours when they mature a bit more. Ben
  5. Thats the experience I've had my ampularia grew very well on a window sill in a terrarium as long as the temperatures didn't dip below 18C ish but intermediates will do best as manders says.
  6. Beautiful greenhouse, food, plants the lot well done I'm sure they will grow like weeds. Also I was just wondering if you really want to boost the humidity a low watt water heater such as for a fish tank in the "paddling pool" could help maybe. Ben
  7. Hi folks, though I have beena member for a while I never really got round to introducing myself, usually being content with reading and viewing other peoples much more interesting posts and pictures. However I thought I should say hello and start taking part Ben

  12. Hello My name is Ben I'm 22 and after finally completing my masters degree in geology at the university of Manchester (in which I got a 2:1 which i am really happy with) I finally have time to register and post on this forum. I am mainly interested in nepenthes and have the ubiquitous 'ventrata' and 'Miranda' (mixima and Northiana?) together with a small rajah, lowii, bicalcarata, rafflesiana, mirabilis var. echinostoma and ampullaria. As foe my other cps I have various sarracenia hybrids and a few known species such as flava, purpurea and oreophila, then there is the compulsary Venus fly trap a utric and some sundews just to complete the variety of my collection. And don't worry these wern't all paid for by your tax going to my student loan I have a part time job at Tesco (the destroyer of souls) but if there is anyone who knows of a geological or environmental based job going....... Probably not but worth a try cheers and feel free to correct me as I frequently make mistake and spelling errors
