  1. Sorry if im bumping this, but ive seen the J. Arthur Bower moss peat online too, and then saw LJ's comment. Isnt it good that it has sticks in, prooving it was the top layer of a bog and hasnt been through any factories? Just the way a vft likes it, we can remove the sticks by hand.
  2. On a shoot of my sarr, ive just seen some small black bugs. Ive given the shoot one spray and then another spray over the whole plant.
  3. Im no expert on Sarrs, but with the venus flytrap the tip wont open and just dies due to overwater. Im sure this is almost impossible with a sarr if you keep it in a dish, but if its watered from above it may be too watered. But then again, im no expert on sarrs
  4. I do, I love the colouration and wish somebody would add a FTS crimson sawtooth to my collection any day!
  5. That's a very cool humidifier! You have brilliant plants and the way theyre wet shows up all the colours. Good luck with the new equiptment!

    Your Dormancy

Hey, ive been wondering how others in the uk do dormancy. Im guessing my cape sundew wont go dormant? Anyway, if everyone could post where they do dormancy and how much water they give. It will really help me decide what im going to do. I will have around 80 plants to look after. I do have an unheated porch but no window ledge. Thanks to everyone that shares what they do! Hayden
  7. Thankyou LJ, im going away soon and leaving my neighbour in charge! Ive just read about how easy it is to get fungus on your seedlings, but im only away for 5 days so it cant get too bad in that time.

  9. https://www.severndiy.co.uk/product_info.ph...roducts_id=6228 Heres a cheap one :)
  10. Ive noticed the Bayer isnt in a spray gun? Is it dangerous to handle? Do you tip it into a spray gun? Thankyou
  11. Thank Carl, ill get one of them on order tonight :)
  12. Hey, ive been ready posts about, fungus growing on peoples soil. Like the insects, its scared me and made me want something just incase! Id prefer something not too toxic, stuff thats really hazardous scares me! Can you please tell me how to apply, any dilutions, hazards and if possible where to buy (in uk). Also, is it easy to notice fungus on a plant? Is it hairy? Ive noticed concerns of black dots on sarrs, mine have some in dead patches but they arnt hairy and dont spread around the pitcher. Thankyou, Hayden

    Eddy for sale

That is Amazing =O If this is your plant, im sorry to hear about the hard time your having and that you have to sell it
  14. Thankyou for sharing that with us
  15. Sorry, I know this is a bit off topic. But while im shopping id like to get some sphagnum moss to pot neps in and use for vft cuttings. Can somebody give me a web that sells it or find me an eBay advertisment please. Thanks, theres so many different mosses so id feel safer having an expert tell me!
  16. My sarrs are putting up loads of tiny ones, that just keeping sunburning themselves! I can see that the ones to the left dont have many pitchers. Is it worth chopping off the small growth for more nutrition to the larger pitchers?
  17. Wow, theyre big! Why do you chop some of them off?
  18. Oh dear, do fungus on sarracenia work like a virus on a vft? How do they get fungus?
  19. Well the one I was produces 100 gallons every 24 hours. I would like to store the water in them 2l lemonade bottles, and make sure the lids screwed to stop mosquito's getting in! 1/3 of the water that goes in is the only clean bit, about 2/3 goes back down the drain. Im facing a similar problem to you, im either walking down to our garage paying £1 a litre or putting so many buckets on the lawn my family go mad. Im always finding my water put in stupid places, storing a couple of lemonade bottles wouldnt harm anybody! Ill let you know how I get on with mine (Now im getting questioned on why we want a deep sea diving kit nailed to the wall ) That way you will know everything you need to get it working on your outdoor tap. Im also being questioned, will this machine pay itself back. I havent really got much money back yet from growing plants from cuttings etc. This is because I dont have the water to do so! Next year im almost certainly going to buy a greenhouse, but not this year as theres not too much time left til October so id rather have a healthy looking one in April =D
  20. Are you a carpenter? You should build greenhouses for people, its a good business! 'P. Green Garden Buildings' ;D
  21. I probably need about 2 litres a week, but tempted to buy a fish tank too. Water is whats putting me off buying more cp's. Ive got dishes everywhere, I get myself very little water that has a load of rubbish in it! As I said earlier, this will give me ease all of my life =D Ill have to talk to others about my fish, I only want a small bowl with a bit of ro water in and a few aquarium fish. No electric filters or whatever.
