Yes, well done to everyone. They even had a very short piece on TV showing someone's stand. Was that yours Nigel?

Nice plants Plantsman89. We all probably have what we know as atropurpureas from Florida. You may not have been on the forum when we had a detailed discussion on the subject led by Kiwi Earl (see here). Earl believes that only the plants from the Carolinas should be called atropurpurea and those from FL are really rubricorpora. I don't know if any final conclusions were reached or consensus agreed on what we should call Florida the S. flava var. atropurpurea?

Looks like I'm getting flowers. Any advice on what to do after flowering? I've heard Drosophyllum can die afterwards.

No F5 on my iPad Martin
F5 just does a refresh telling your browser to look at the cache before asking the server for content. So, if you have a refresh button that will hopefully do the same thing.Alternatively Ctrl + F5 forces a load from the server.

I assume we've had a software upgrade as uploading photos is now slightly different. Getting these photos into a post is now a right faff - unless I'm doing it wrong!
As for the potential double post problem, if you get the error message try hitting F5 first before doing anything else. This usually displays the post OK.

More flowers now and a few pitchers just about opening.
S. oreophila first plants to pitcher.
Nice purp flower.

Hi and welcome to the forum. There are many nep experts here who will be able to help you - unfortunately I'm not one of them

There's been no problem this year even with the cold snap. All my sarracenia have survived as have the drosera though the exposed leaves died off like yours. I am still waiting for 2 D. regia which were in small pots.I have cephs that have survived being in the g/h all winter as well. YMMV.

You have some good early growth there. Better than cold, damp UK.

Me too, as usual!

No, there's no need. If you don't want the plant to waste energy producing seed just remove the flower when the petals fall. And anyway the flowers are beautiful and worth seeing in their own right!

The drosophyllum has survived the winter and it's now outside. Not very good photos I'm afraid but you can see it's already catching prey.

Hi and welcome to the forum. To get dew on your Drosera you need to increase the humidity until your plant gets used to your conditions. This can be done by erecting a plastic bag over the pot (may need supporting with canes) and slowly increasing the ventilation by cutting off the bag corners over days and weeks. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like - there are lots of friendly and knowledgeable people on here. Also, when you've been on here a month or so you'll have access to the Sales and Wants pages so you can buy more plants!

Hi and welcome to the forum. Your plants are looking good - the heli is quite a difficult one to start with!

Hi and welcome to the forum. After being on here for a month or so you'll have access to the Sales page which is a good way to begin your collection.

Nigel I use the gallery for images but the maximum size is only 1MB - I scale my photos to 800x600. It's explained here.
