  1. Cephalotus " True Giant", C. "Giant Klaus Keller", C. "Giant Rudi Fuerst", C. "Giant Günter Eitz", C."Giant Harald Weinert" or when the madness will stop? Which one is the originator of this clone and how should one and the same plant ( clone) be named? I don't know wether the people are all alive but Klaus Keller is defenitely is, even however he is member of CPUK forum, so probably he will get part in this thread with more info.... Would the name after the growers help to all CPs community or this is just fortune and glory?
  2. Good luck to all of you. I'll enjoy from now on only reading your discussions...
  3. Fb kills any forum whatever we talk, not only CPUK but all of them....CPUK just slowly dying although it is my beloved forum... Most of the people just use CPUK to sell or buy something and 99% of them dont really care for good discussions... sponsors, members etc...Correct me if I'm wrong....
  4. Cool, it would be nice to catch u up in facebook :)
  5. Cheers Matt, the plant is 3 years old as I got it from Erio then as very tiny rooted leaf. For me it is slow grower probably due to my conditions. I sent a leaf from it last year to UK but as far as I know didn't root.
  6. Really sorry but the plant on the pictures is not Big Boy...
  7. The shape is quite stable.... it's better ask Erio where is the mother plant and why he registered the cultivar with old pictures? We all would like to see updated pics of the mother plant but sadly some years we dont's see...
  8. Hello Sonja, yes, I can confirm as the bigger pot is the better. All my plants get dormancy and I do repotting while they are in dormancy. Usually end of January, in the begining of February.
  9. LOL... as you wish lol, Here is one..
  10. Hello Sercse, I don't think the hot climate does something weather the plant is real or not. I also live in hot climate... Just your plant is not C. "Big Boy" unfortunately. Please, make a comparison between your plant's shape and mine, so u can see the differences.
  11. Hello. I'm sorry but this plant doesn't look C "Big Boy" to me...
  12. I grow them freely outside here in Bulgaria. In the summer the temps are 38- 40C and above during the day to 28 - 30C at night. The temps in the summer outside rarely drop bellow 28C at night. Now in the autumn 28-30C day to 16C at night. In the winter they are inside my house in dry rest period and the temps are 25C day to 21 - 22C at night....
  13. Hot, humid grower, mini miniature orchid...
  14. I tend to agree with you. I think variety occurs in the wild as well, so in one particular location different shaped plants can be observed and it is wrong to think that only one shaped plant grows in one particular location... but anyway, I haven't seen so far plant tending to grow with vertical lids from CMB location. The lids are always domed and it is hard to be mistaken...
  15. Nice one again here. Good job! GRR for comparison...
  16. Nice one here. Always is a pleasure for me to see seed grown plants but sadly people avoid growing them from seed. Keep up the good job. During the years from seed grown plants I succeeded selecting 2 very interesting plants C. Northcliffe DD-C001 and the squatish C. Coal Mine Beach DD-C002 , a plant that tends to grow shorter and wider.. C. Northcliffe DD-C001 C. Coal MIne Beach DD-C002
  17. Just a year old seed grown Cephalotus Two People's Bay. The fastes growing seedling in the last 4 years I have ever grow with quite large pitchers compared to the other from the same batch. Will update this in the winter...
  18. Seed grown CMB with nice fall color. Will update this in the winter...
  19. Hi Sonja it seems impossible to separate the runner and I found and others close to those. Last year one of my Hummer Giant had runner that I separated and it was the fastes established newly plant that I have ever had. I'm still not sure what the runner itself is but I can say with certain that the runner has no roots but rooted easily... @Frankie, yep this is exactly pond plant basekt.
  20. Found that runner hidden in the pots recently. The plant seems to form very nice natural vertical growing clumps at the bottom of the net pot...
  21. Everyone can freely name a randomly chosen plant with the name Czech Giant or Czech. it looks like a new fashion nowadays "Giant" to be added to each plant. Would it be possible to ask your friend if there is any chance to share with us pictures of both plants please?

I would skip the winter dormancy and would grow them inside the house or in heated room.
  23. Good question. I asked the same question already several years without answer... What is Czech Giant? Ummm, probably same as Bulgarian Giant, Portugal Giant, Italian Giant etc. Sorry not sure if there is USA GIant as well...
