  1. Cephalotus 'Bananito'  is seedgrown  C. 'Eden Black" x self. The clone has unusual tall, slim and quite elongated pitchers in the adult pitchers...

Cephalotus 'Bananito'   left  versus its parent  C. 'Eden Black'  right

The cultivar description can be found here: http://www.carnivorousplants.org/cpn/Species/v29n4p116_122.html#hummers

Especially I like this part from the cultivar description:

Editor's note: ....... Growers with gigantic Cephalotus specimens can be quite confident it is the same clone that John described in his article. John is busy with his fieldwork and collection, so is unable to send people specimens of this cultivar, but if you want it-look around. It is increasingly common in collections. (BAMR)"

  3. I remember  I got  10 seeds from USA friend and only 3 germinated....

Anyway, yes,  when the plant  was small it  was painfully slow growing .I found some old pics of the same plant in my facebook archives.  No idea it is male or female. So far the plant is quite shy to flower though.

Do u plan to grow N. truncata from seeds?

  4. It much depends on the orchids genera. However, for example:  u can't water Cattlleya and Dracula one and the same way...or Pterostylis and Oncidium...

Stunning and worthy of any collection. I'm sure you will agree though, that it needs certain conditions to be met in order to achieve that colouration.

True enough . Only I can add  - make sure u can trace back your 'Eden Black' to Stephen Morley, otherwise u may end up disappointed...

    2. Just delete and posts and try and prevent the forum make it look like it's inhabited by a bunch of arguing chimps in the same manner I've done for years and years.

    Alexis,

I'm not  a chimp  and don't think someone of the other peeps discussing in this thread is a chimp , so you should ban yourself  because u insult the people and you brake the forum rules:
