  1. I'm sorry, I don't. I've traded/sold all of my Cephs.

  3. Do you have any cephalotus still available. i used to grow one a few years back, had it for about 2 years, got it to about 1.5 inches on a few pitchers, but it began to decline after i had to move away to college. now im pretty well set up in my apartment and am looking to start a carnivorous collection going again..

any help would be awesome, and im not in any big hurry..

    Thanks, A...

    My nepenthes

Amazing plants! N. flava and aristolochioides are my favorite species and yours are amazing! And I've never noticed how beautiful N.ephippiata is. What are your temperatures?
  6. Any thoughts on refrigerator vs window A/C unit?
  7. It suprises me to see so many positive responses. I've always read that N. Jacquelineae is finicky and hard to get to pitcher. I've only had my plant for a few weeks so I can't speak from experience but it encouraging to hear.

    Fertilizing

I use Maxsea fertilizer in the pitchers of my Neps and other CPs. It seems to work pretty good. I've tried drenching with coffee but it keeps stunting my live sphagnum moss. This really ticks me off since I've read that coffee really helps sphagnum. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Too strong maybe?
  9. I ordered from petflytrap.com when I first started buying carnivorous plants. Compared to the other online stores I've bought from, petflytrap.com is very overpriced and the plants I got weren't healthy.
  10. Nice plant! It looks like its time for a bigger pot.
  11. For those that use the fridge for dormancy to protect your plants from long freezes, when do you bring the plants outside in the spring? In Missouri, we are still seeing some nights dip below freezing but they days are getting into the 40's and 50's F. Right now I'm thinking about planting my them outside some time mid March but I'm a little worried about the frost we might have even up until April.
  12. Congrats! I don't seem to have as much success with pitcher pullings as I do with leaf pullings. Great job!
  13. One of my Cephs that I got this summer is much more red than any of my other Cephs in my collection. Here is a side by side comparison to another Ceph. Note these plants are grown side by side in the same potting mix and are fertilized the exact same way. I'm not labeling this as a different cultivar or anything, just thought it was interesting.
  14. To those that have read bad things about Black Jungle, I just received an order from them this week. The plants were a good size for the price and were packaged very well. Everything was very healthy. I would certainly purchase from them again.
