  1. How about this? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball_lightning
  2. I have no particular locations for pinguicula in the alps, but I have found that if you drive into the alps on mountain roads you are bound to run in to some pinguicula growing on moist rock walls pretty often. They aren't very hard to spot and they are present in large numbers, so I would be shocked if you would not find any .

  7. Hi Alexis, Yes, they are in pots outside. I guess the substrate was frozen last year for about a week or more, so I think I will get them inside (in the garage :) ) as soon as it's going to freeze.
  8. thanks a lot! this really helps me!
  9. Mine are outside, in full sunlight. If there is sun, and it doesn't rain... 3 of them are placed in my bog, and still they didn't survive. The temperatures last year dropped as low as -17 degrees centigrade, maybe that was the problem? My plants did get all the rainwater last year too, but slowly they rotted away. Is rotting a proces without oxygen? if it is so, maybe my substrate didn't contain enough sand or perlit?
  10. Last year, almost all my Dionaea's died in dormancy they all seemed to have rotted away. Maybe the substrate was too wet? one of them survived, but it was very small after dormancy. how wet do I have to keep the substrate? thanks in advance, Pascal
