  1. do you read the declaration of your peat? Its a small area on the pack. Is it fertilized? It should be H2-H5 (better H4) pH 2,5-4 And no fertilized! Some garden peat its possible, they have incl. fertilizer! Which water do you use? regards Tobias
  2. Buenos dias, my substrate are a typical sandy peat mix with a pure sand topdressing. water level 2cm with pot size 10cms in the growing period. best regards Tobias

  5. Hi, this species makes no troubles in normal warm conditions: D. graomogolensis D. latifolia D. riparia D. tomentosa D. spiralis Use a sand/peat mix 1:1 or perlite/peat mix 1:1 with slightly watering, then no problems. Hope, this helps Best regards Tobias

  7. Hi, thanks all for compliments!! @ Mujinamo: what do you had for conditions? In my opinion is the tricky point only the maximum temperature and the night sinking!! When you give a maximum from 20-24 degrees C and 8 degrees night sinking, then should it give no problems..... regards Tobias
  8. Hi, i have had a Hierodula membranacea from India. She lives 10 months on a big Yucca in my living room. This species is very easy and nice in open culture on a bigger plant....I feed this nice species with pests from the pet shop with forceps. In the end time it had a lenght of 11cm.   10. Hi all, A few weeks ago I offered a few seeds of my U. campbelliana ´Wei Tepui´. From this batch i have sown even 15 seeds. A week ago, I discovered 2 seedlings and thought that was all. But when I checked this morning once again, I have seen 7 other seedlings!! Ok, in the past the germination time was 4-6 weeks. But this time it has actually taken a few weeks longer! It was probably because I had some other conditions. Ok, here are a pic from the biggest seedling from today in the morning: best regards Tobias

  12. Marc, you misunderstood me! My flower was complete open (a beautiful white flower)! Then the plant rot very fast: The spray water from my U. campbelliana setup watering my dry resting bud and it rot.... Hope, you successfully pollinate your flower....i'm waiting for seeds ;0) best regards Tobias

  14. Hi, i have a question about leaf cuttings in tc. It gives some Drosera which are cannot propagate with leaf cuttings in normal culture: D. esterhuyseniae D. burmannii D. meristocaulis ?? and some more.... Is it possible in tc with PGR's? Have somebody tried? best regards Tobias

I have make a test tube with U. campbelliana (1 leaf with some stolons): 1/3 MS, 20g sugar, 2.0ml BAP, pH 5.65 I will post the results best regards Tobias

  17. Hi, Yes, you are right. Its the same like ceph leafs. I have tried some: 1. week good 2. week good The third and fourth week is ok too, without contamination In the fifth week i have a nice mushroom culture.....Sterilisation with ppm solution for 6h, 3x rinse for 5min each. But i don't give up ;0) Could i try the roots with a similar steri protocol? PPM solution could work good... Regards Tobias

  19. Hi Marc and Bux, Thanks for informations!! @Marc: i will try it with your protocoll. It calls simple! @Bux: you mean 15min in 10% bleach is sufficient? You mean the contaminants are inside the roots? I think surface sterilisation is sufficient! You don't think so? Best regards Tobias
  20. Hi, Have anyone success with Drosera root cuttings? Protocol for desinfection? My idea: 1. rinse under tab water with liquid soap. 2. 15min in 10% bleach 3. 3times rinse in steril water Should i dip in 70% Iso? Regards Tobias

  22. Hi, for information: "Wilhelma" is a bigger botanical garden in Stuttgart, south germany (near from me). I know the grower in the BoGa (chief of the CP section) and i have seen adult plants: very, very big pitchers!! best regards Tobias
