  2. I'm now since 2 weeks in contact with our insurance company and firth they thought I joking with them and I they ask why I ask them because it Is just plants. Then it told them more about our plants just for hope that those people understand it. Now after 2 weeks of waiting I got a mail with hundreds of stupid questions....,where I guess I just have to make a wrong answer and I don't see any money. Questions like: did you ever sold any plants in your hobby or who prepared the trailer to be a greenhouse and so on... I told it a friend here and he say the same about our Swedish insurance companys. They just want never to pay people for their mistakes. Jens
  3. Hi Bill i remember i had 3 belli x tm plants and I gave it up with them. The first one if them I got died after 3 months I my growing conditions ( cold). Then I bought again 2 plants and gave it again a try and it happens the same to them even in our Swedish summer. So finally I gave it up. Haha
  4. Thanks for the inputs guys. So Cephalotus dont need a real dormancy period? @MFS I dont trust my eyes sometimes when i read around the forums where People post such things, haha. The best story was in another forum where a guy ask if his plant die because he watered the plant form above... Jens
  5. Haha Nice done Simon. Jens
  6. Plant them on new media after the dormancy period. About the "do not touch the roots" urban legend...., me and some other well know growers think this is just a urban legend. when we repot Cephs we put them out of the pots and split them without care about the roots. I self couldnt believe it until i made the same with my Cephs. All of them survived grew on without problems. I also believe that it depends on how "hard" the plants are grown. Some People say newer Water from upside, dont put them in full sun, never more as 30C/80F.... Now time to discuss ;) Jens
  7. Willy i allways use Maxsea Seaweed for my Neps R.I.P and all the other plants i have, at Full strenght and twice a month cheers Jens
  8. nice to know the name. Thanks Andreas. Cant wait until my seedlings make adult pitchers....I have to give them more fertilizer ;) Jens
  9. wow very nice gnome.... If this ever go into market size then i definitely buy one....
  10. yes you are right. I will contact them on monday and see what they say....Hope for the best Thanks for your help, Carl...
  11. Hi Hm i dont no if the plants are part of our House insurance but what should i say to them? The heater was plugged out? I dont believe the insure company will do much against it because they are "just" plants..... I didnt find out whats happened. I just know the plug was out and my neighbor know nothing....I need to install a webcam or something... Cheers Jens
  12. I started to sort out the dead plants and there are some plants where still is a chance that those survived. The most small plants who was under the big HPS lamps still have a green steam under the media. So i chopped them down to this and hopefully they will sprout out again. But still. all of my big plants are dead and all plants with sift leafs like hamata,tentaculata..... too Jens
  13. Nepaholic

    Not dead yet

thanks but my plants got -10C for a minimum of days. all plants are soft and deep burnt so there are no chance for them...
  14. I came back on Monday from my 2 weeks vacation on Fuerteventura and found this in my trailer. I lost my whole nepenthes collection. I just have a few villosa, rajah seedlings and 2 hamata hairy and 1 truncata black left. All others are dead. Also the most heliamphora survived... Big mystery why this happened to me. I found the plug for the heater out of the wall. I dont no why this can happen as my neighbor say everything was ok a day before..... N. izumiae x tm N. macrophylla N. truncata x tm N. lowii The plants here look ok due to the white balance but they are also brown/black 10-14year old variegated villosa x TM I checked today again because i still have hope but all the green parts on the plants and stem are very soft so they are completely death....
  15. i just spray it everywhere, the soil, the leafs.... i spray until the plants are wet and the fertilizer comes out of the bottom Jens
  16. wow very nice. Hold us updated please... Jens
  17. Hi Guys i´m from Sweden and just use Maxsea. I always order it from the staes. Shipping is not so expensive. I love this stuff and the plants too. I tried some other stuf before like Peters(orchid fertilizer), Osmocote.....nothing give the results like Maxsea give to me. I also send some packs of this out to friends in Germany and all say the same. They also obtained the first results after just 1month, the plants grow very fast and healthy with it. @mobile. Yes it is powder. I use it at full strenght ever 2 weeks like it is recommend on the packaging on heliamphoran, Nepenthes, Cephalotus and all the stuff i have arround my plants :) Cheers Jens
