  1. Hello all, I have some tuberous drosera seeds (D. rupicola, D. hookeri and D. lowriei) to sow as soon as possible. I will soak them in gibberellic acid before. I was advised to let them in the acid solution for 24h with a dosage between 150 and 250 PPM. Do you proceed the same (dosage and duration)? If not, how do you proceed? Thank you for your help. Regards.
  2. Hi Gary, sorry for my late answer, and many thanks for yours! Best wishes.
  3. Hi all, As I am a newbie in the culture of Mexican Pinguicula, could you please confirm that this P. laueana is making its winter leaves? So, how should I water it now? Until now it was in a tray with 2 cm of water, but I just put it out. Should I let it dry completely? Or should I carry on watering and if yes for how long? Thank you for your help

    Hi all!

HI everybody here! I am Sylvain from France, 53 years old. I have been cultivating plants of all kinds for many years: orchids (mainly terrestrials from Australia and South Africa like Thelymitra and Disa), Aizoaceae (Lithops, Conophytum and others) from Namibia and South Africa, and recently carnivorous plants which brought me to this forum. Among CPs, I cultivate the following genera: Dionaea, Sarracenia, some Cephalotus and Darlingtonia, and since this year some Mexican Pinguicula and some Drosera. I hope to learn a lot and share here! Have a nice evening.
  5. Hello all, I will receive soon one Pinguicula gypsicola. May I use for it the same substrate that I use for my other Mexican Pings? Would it fit? I don't know where I could find gypsum... Thank you for your help. Sincerely.
  6. Hello, Ok, so let's go for tokaiensis. Thank you very much ada, Sean Spence and Roman for your answers and your help. Sincerely.
  7. Hello, thank you very much for your help. How may I distinguish D. capillaris from D. tokaiensis? They are very similar to my newbie eyes! Many thanks.
  8. Hello all, Could you please tell me the name of this Drosera? It is fully hardy and about 3 cm wide, its pink flowers are aout 9 mm wide. Thank you for your help.
