    Nepenthes Rajah x Mira problem

Good afternoon, I have one Nepenthes Rajah x Mira problem, the plant is pitchering well but it has red spots like burn on leaves, the new one it has the new spot it has, finally the leaves go black and go off, This kind of nepenthes has some kind of limitation on the amount of light? I have it in the same pot with live sphagnum moss and good drainage. I don’t know if the problem is humidity(90%) or the water (70ppm) or the led lights. I have it in the same greenhouse with the same highland conditions of the others. Others are growing well. This plant don’t get red color as the others for the amount of light. I hope someone could tell me if it has a pest, fungus or i dont know what else... Thanks!

    Nepenthes Rajah x Mira problem

Oooh! Cool! I never would have imagined that the problem could be that. I'm going to try to put a kind of translucent umbrella so that it does not get wet but has moisture. Does this only happen with the nepenthes mira? or on the part of the rajah too. Thank you very much I will try to see if I solve it in that way.

    Highland setup

Good Night, One question, i have seen some amazing setups for terrarium which works with a waterchiller. I want to a less tech terrarium system, my problem is that i have 3 terrarium 60x45x45 and i have only a water chiller haliea150a able to cool water to 6ºC (30L max). My question is that people use for cooling the water to the tank and the radiator but i wanted to know if i can get 14-16ºC at night cooling my isolated terrariums only with radiators (the water conected to them would come from an isolated box with 10-20L is enough at 6ºC). The reason is that if i want to cool directly the water and the radiator i would have to cool 100-140L of water and i dont think i could set that amount of water to that lower temperature 6-10ºC im attaching a schema image and a sample video My setup: other similar setups: This would be my setup! Thanks to all and a happy new year!

Could you show me your controller or a tutorial to know how it works? Thanks!!

    Highland setup

Your method is usefull because you have an small (or only one terrarium) for dat reason you are able to cool which amount of water (60cmx45cmx10cm = 27 L) and you cool the water, the water cools the, the glass the air....like a fridge. About my setup i would have to cool to 3x27L= 81L of water, and i dont know if my waterchiller would be able to cool dat amount to low temperatures, for that reason i wanna try to cool the air with the water cooling system with a radiator like a pc system. Thanks for your answer and for showing your setup :)

  11. Goodnight , I've been trying for some time to fight against an invisible plague. The plague is in my nepenthes greenhouse. I have my nepenthes in sphagnum moss with perlite and I have seen how underneath the surface there are many spider webs. I have tried with neem oil, with potassium soap, with acaricides and I can not eliminate the webs. I have even introduced a predatory mite of the spider mite for biological control (Phytoseiulus persimilis). The plants do not see them very affected, if perhaps a yellowish leaf, but the spahgnum is infected with spider webs, even between the roots. Is there any other pest that leaves spider webs in sphagnum moss? Any remedy to solve this? By the way, it seems strange to me that they are spider mites since it is a greenhouse that is always at 80% humidity and average temperatures. Thanks greetings!

    Uknown Green house pest

Good morning, firstly i used spider mites predator mites, and after i resolved the pest changing all the sphagnum moss of those plants, i have now a better sphagnum moss with lot of perlite and i havent had more this problem. Now i have the similar webs for all the greenhouse but i have seen that there are little spiders which makes the webs, there arent problems for my plants with those webs. So thats are the conclusion, my plants and now growing bigger and healthy!! Thanks!!!

    Problem with my sarracenia minor

Good night, I bought a sarracenia minor two weeks ago, I have it in the same conditions of my other sarracenia 10 hours full sun, with tons of water and blonde peat, perlite and sand. The others grow very well and the other minor okefenokee too, but the normal sarracenia minor doesn’t, it has deformed leaves and is getting the pitchers dry. what I’m doing bad? It needs less water? Less sun? thank you!

Good afternoon, The shipping was one day long so i dont know if its produced by shock, i were asking the seller and told me he had them full sun with water outside. The soil is peat moss, perlite and sand with 6:2:2 (Same than the other sarracenias).
