  1. Just a quick reminder for everyone: registration for the conference is open until June 1st
  2. All jokes aside, website is working fine at this moment as far as I can tell. Even the first sellers added Let me know (mail or PM) if you still have problems.
  3. Sorry that you have to register again people, still....great job Brian!
  4. That would be the ICPS conference 2010 in Leiden Dennis. The ICPS is the highly respected and omni-beloved International Carnivorous Plant Society, the ICCP is the International Climate Change Partnership, a mostly US oriented group of companies that advocate that Climatechange like writen in the ICPP paper everybody is shooting holes in at the moment is upon us. Marcel van den Broek Vice President ICPS
  5. Hi Ignacio, The ICPS registers all cultivars. Here is a link for you. You can find links to the publications and to the general database. Hope this helps, this is just about all the information except where to buy them (but that would be an other section ) http://www.carnivorousplants.org/cpn/Speci...gistrations.htm
  6. As some of you might have noticed both the Florida CPS site and the Florida forum are having problems. The reason is that someone has made a very vicious attack on this sites. The attack was both on the society and it's president personally (mail etc) and did a lot of damage. For some unclear reason especially the information on Brian's discoveries on Byblis was attacked, but why someone would want to target that information is beyond us. Many people have already seen the information and pictures (besides there are excellent back ups). Brian is working very hard to put everything together again, so we hope that you will very soon be able to visit our Florida cousins. On behalf of the Moderator team of the Florida forum,
  7. It appears that overseas payments need some extra information on top of the IBAN etc that is enough in Europe. It took some shaking of a bank director but after threatening to feed him to the plants we've got this additional address for overseas payments: ING Haarlemmerweg 506 1014 BL Amsterdam The Netherlands Treasurer: Enterij 22 2771 MX Boskoop The Netherlands
  8. Yes it is not far to the flower auction (the flower market is further away in Amsterdam) but among other things we'll hire an auction guide. The buffets are just extra service, but will have some good quality food, not your run of the mill buffet in a sportcentre or something like that. And yes, the pound is not at his best against the euro, must really visit Mike again for some shopping
  9. Nothing to discuss David. Normal prices , even on some points cheap for an ICPS conference. Sydney 2008: Conference 200 Aus (about 100 euro) Diner 100 Aus (50 euro) Fieldtrip 50 (about 25 euro) each but no diner Maryland 2006: Conference 100 USD (150 for the late registrations) Diner 40 USD Fieldtrips without food 15 USD so we are very cheap for the conference at 55 euro, normal priced for the diner, fieldtrips include lunch and diner and since we are feeding several people anyway we are offering the option of also joining us on the other days. We chose a good provider for the food and not a MacD or something like that. Basicly, everything is roughly costing price and would be even more expensive (like the other conferences if we hadn't recieved some nice sponsoring from among others the botanical gardens.
  10. YES! We made it. Registration for the 8th ICPS Conference in Leiden is open as of today We hope to see many of you
  11. Hi Christian, almost there We're shooting for a openingdate for registrations of February 20th and a closingdate of June 1st There will be a on line registration with all the options like excursions on the ICPS-section of our website. Of course we'll post the joyfull news of the actual opening here, just those last details that take so much time to take care off
  12. Looks like you have plenty of space to start filling up Jeremiah. Have fun (and a good cup of coffee )
  13. Hi Arie, Thanks for pointing out this view on postagestamps. I think it's strange that a stamp made by the official national postageservice, and thus by the offical issuer of stamps, can be "not accepted" as a legal stamp but as I said it's not really important. I'm a CP-nut, not a "stampy" Hope to see you again at the ICPS conference (did you manage to finish your book, by the way?)
  14. Not really important, because it was just to show that it excisted and I really liked the idea of our Down Under friends, but I have to disagree Arie. The stamps are printed by the Australian mailservice. They offer (if you buy enough) an option to have a sideprint of your choice next to a normal valid postage stamp like sort of a personalised numberplate for a car. The sideprint and the postagestamp are in one piece so it is not a separate sticker you can add next to your stamp and you see used as commercial adds. That makes it a real stamp to me.
  15. How about this very special one Arie?
  16. Hi Christian, You can write me up for a copy if you manage to get this off the ground. Always been in love with South Africa and its plants Ps. Link works fine for me
  17. Hi Kevin, This article compares vallis-regiae to vulgaris and others, don't know if you've already read it: http://www.sekj.org/PDF/anb43-free/anb43-321.pdf
  18. Update! Speakers list and excursions http://carnivora.nl.web1.web.cyso.net/icps...ogram%20en.html
  19. Could we please stop reopening old files when there is nothing new to add? Without taking sides and really against unlawfull and/or irresponsible collecting: I see no new evidence I don't know and haven't seen any text explaining what is legal in Australia and what not as far as the collecting goes. Darren O, you want to sell your tubers, fine! If they are fairly priced people will probably buy them. But don't use old posts without new evidence to attack the competition. By the way, Your OTHER post in this section not only claims the same (can that be viewed as "bumping" moderators?), but goes even further by claiming every tuber that came out of Australia exept your own are illegal. "Actually it would seem that all tubers previously bought before from Australia(Most of us know who it is) where illegally harvested from the wild and sold for many years on the black market." Not every tuber outside Oz came from Allen, so don't generalise, produce proof or otherwise leave old cases alone.
  20. Aidan had a problem at his host and is fixing things, but it will take some time.
