  1. There are many veitchii growing in the undisturbed forest belonging to one of the local residents. some were growing on either side of the path leading to the house. Another i came across that look like climbing. Observing closely infact it was leaning against the tree and growing against it. with the tree as support its stem was able to encircle and clasped, continue to grow upwards. At the moment the tip was 1.6metre from the ground. some visitors commented because of the absent of many large trees where veitchii crawls on the ground instead. some ground pitchers.

  3. "Think" is a rather important word! If you are not certain where it came from then it's really just a guess - perhaps it did, but perhaps it didn't. For your own growing experience, it doesn't matter what you call any of your plants. But at some point, your collection will grow, you will devide your plants and probably sell (or give away) the spares. If you then sell a plant as a particular clone - because you THINK it is, some one else may end up very unhappy if it turns out not to be. A label (name) is nothing more than that. Just as in designer clothing or whatever - you can buy 'the label' or you can buy an immitation, which 'looks' just the same - looking the same and being the same are two different things. If you like a plant and want the 'very same thing', then buy a division of that very plant and you 'should' know what you are getting. If you just like the 'general look', then buy something which looks similar, but may be cheaper. It isn't always the case, but often, a named clone or cultivar will carry a higher price tag, especially if it has become THE thing to own - such as "goldie". Also, when a plant commands a high price tag, some people will will attach that name to anything that looks 'similar' to get a higher price than they would have got. So if you like 'claret' buy 'claret. If you just like the fact that it is a 'red tube', then buy any 'red tube' (rubricorpora). So is a 'label' pointless ? YES and NO. Hope this answers or question.
