I have a Sauromatun venosum tuber and was wondering when I should pot it up in the greenhouse. It has started to grow. About 2 to 3 inches.

Please correct me and forgive me if I am posting this wrong...

I have a few spare rooted pieces of Zamioculcas zamiifolia Raven ('Dowton'), the new variety with leaves that mature to really really nearly black. Is anyone interested in these before I post them with photos and prices on sales and wants UK?

Plants get to a height of around 3 metres and stall there. This is a photo of mine at the 3 metre mark back in 2010 with an adult for size comparison. It was already about 4 years old and flowering

And this is just the other day, about 7 years later, and no size difference. Of course the pond has become a bit over grown and crowded with other plants. Nothing remains static in gardens (hopefully anyway).

So hoping that this year there might be more berries and that I'll have better luck some seed growing.

I forgot the name of this aroid.

I think it is a saromatum venosum, but I'm not sure.

I don't have images of the leafs.

After 6 months finger crossed, I had the chance to succeed in A, titanum leaf cutting.

Nothing really new, I just followed this recipe : http://forums.gardenweb.com/discussions/1686545/amorphophallus-titanum-leaf-cutting

Cut a part of the leaf the 4th April, in July I was obliged to repot the cuttings because of a substrate  gnat infestation, just took the opportunity to take a pic.

5 rooted leaf portions out of 7, then I had to wait 2 more months before the first stem appeared.

What I'm really looking for, is if anyone knows how large the tuber needs to be before it produces a flower. My tuber is probably 7.5cm or so across....

I recently got an Amorphophallus titanum seed (already germinated) so thought i make a thread to record its progress. Here's the seed:

I've potted it up in a peat perlite mix as recommended and will be purchasing some appropriate fertilizer in the week (i hear this is quite important with these)

Fingers crossed i should have a giant in a few years and maybe a flower within the decade!

I haven't had any experience with this plant but i have heard that some people treat aroid bulbs for rot by using things like saw dust or cinnamon powder. I'm really not sure how to approach this. I'd rather not use fungicides but would try it as a last resort.

So... I did what any normal, regular, boring person would do.. I planted on the side of the pot!

It was flowering, so it looked even cooler!

I think the last time I posted on this forum was six years ago, when one kind soul sent me some baby Amorphophallus konjac corms, for the price of the postage.

They have worked well, although some years the corms split, undoing a year or two of growing

Anyway, I think, at long last, I have an Amorphophallus konjac that is flowering size. Here is a video about potting it up and some care tips which I have gleaned over the last six years...
