I'm back with a sequel. When I built Carnivorous Plant Resource, it was at a time when the community lacked modern, responsive tools to access free plant information online. The site evolved into a general-purpose tool for carnivorous plant folks, hosting growing info, club/society even info, and even a marketplace to access private collections.

I've noticed a similar lack of modern tools in the growlist tracking space. I see friends using spreadsheets and forum posts - functional, but far from ideal. So, I built collecto.rs with some fellow hobbyists. Here's my example profile: https://collecto.rs/David

collecto.rs supports a handful of features that outcompete spreadsheets and simple forum posts:

	• A web app that looks great and is easy to navigate across any sized screen - mobile, tablet, or desktop.
• Plant images featured front-and-center in both grid and list views - way more visually appealing than a spreadsheet.
• Powerful filtering, sorting, and searching making it easy to find the right plant/s in your collection, or a friend's.
• Easy sharing of your full collection, a filtered view of your collection, or even a specific plant. Don't want to share? - Set your entire collection, or specific items to private.
• Use our database of 300,000 plants (and growing) to quickly and easily build out your collection, or manually add your plant and the details that are important to you (CSV/spreadsheet import feature being worked on now).
• Mark plants for sale or trade (trade coming soon!)
• Light mode/dark mode for easy viewing.
• LOTS more fun ideas in the pipeline.

I'm hoping you give it a shot, setup your collection, and share it with me along with your thoughts on how we can build an even better tool. We're a small team building this as a passion project (yeah, it's free) with big goals to build the best growlist and collection tracking tool out there - and we want your input on the features and functionality that is most important to you!

Has anyone recently had problems with czplants?
I have done some transactions with this seller in the past and the support was good when the plants arrived with problems. But apparently that has changed.
This time I ordered some expensive plants and to avoid problems to the seller I used the more expensive transport available.
Not only the time to delivery was the same but all plants arrived burned apparently from ice. 3 are already dead and the other 2 will probably take the same path.
I sent several emails with no response, and the same happened to a friend.

Well, look no further, I’ve decided that I’d dedicate a little of my time to putting together and maintaining such a list. It is not an exhaustive list of every single supplier but if I have missed a major player in the field that you feel should be included don’t hesitate to message me, though please remember, this is really supposed to be for small businesses that sell our favourite plants, not individual, private sellers.
Hey.

I'd like to know how many blogs about carnivorous plants are there on the internet? Do you have a blog? Post a link in here.

Here's mine: Carnivorous Garden Blog - "Carnivorous plants hobbyist from the land of thousands of lakes."

I've kept this blog since 3.2.2011 and so far there are 51 posts and yet more to come. Updated at least once per month but the blog will be updated more often during summer. On my blog I will focus on Drosera, Utricularia, Cephalotus and Pinguicula, but I also write about Nepenthes and few non carnivorous plants such as orchids, chilies and cacti.

Regards

	Hi everyone!

I have order 10 Adult plants from Carniplants.eu.

Normally, I read comments before ordering. However, I could not find anything about Carniplants.eu. Honestly, I trusted them since they are sponspor of CPUK. Actually, I did not know them before sponsor of CPUK.

They send plants quickly and I have recieved them in 10 days.

BUT, I was very dissappoint when I saw the plants becasue they have promised sending adult plants. Plants were very weak, delicate and unhealty. Even if plants are at dormancy, their bulbs are very small and not healty.

From 10 of plants that I have bought:

1 of them was dead plant

2 of them were extra-small and almost dead plants

4 of them were extra small plants

1 of them was semi-adult plant

2 of them were adult plants

I have contacted them and they did not try to solve my problem. I do not recommed ordering from them.

You can see the photos of plants that I recieved:

Southwest Carnivorous Plants have a new web site. This is the 5th new site we have had since we started trading online in 1999

We stopped doing our shows last year as it became more difficult to maintain our internet sales service. We will miss meeting our customers and fellow exhibitors but will have more time to devote to growing plants and providing a first class service to our internet customers.

Of course you are welcome to come to the nursery to choose your plants, by appointment only please (see our About Us page for directions).

Our new website may look very similar to the last one but it is built using a far more moden shopping cart program. This will allow customers to register their details if they wish and to keep a track of their purchases. We are also introducing a loyalty point system for registered customers so further purchases will get a discount. More details will be provided shortly.

After a lot of thought, we have decided to have reviews. This will enable you to both review the product and the service. Of course the plants will reflect the season in which they are bought but I am sure it will help people to choose and will provide some useful feedback for us

We have some more Venus Flytrap cultivars listed including a spectacular 'Scarlet Bristle'. We have also put together some Venus Flytrap Collections to enable people to enjoy a greater range of these fascinating plants at a lower price.

Hi folks, I noticed there were no great, modern websites for carnivorous plant hobbyists and beginners. -At least nothing with a responsive, easily navigable design. So, I built the Carnivorous Plant Resource - something that I would use and that I hope becomes a valuable tool for the community. It's a mix of a plant database, Carnivorous Plant Society calendar of events, and blog resource. Looking for your feedback and info contributors to flush out the database! Cheers, and happy growing!

I have ordered a Nepenthes jamban at carnivoria.eu. It says I have gurantee should something go wrong on the web site, but the seller does not, give you the gurantee.

In my case the plant was sent bare rooted and the roots were damaged .Therefore the plant never grew and started to slowly wither (because it had no functioning roots)

The seller says when he sent it it was in great condition and therefore it must have been my bad conditions that damaged the plant.

What really made me angry is, that first he offered an exchange plant. 10 Days later after asking multiple times he said he will only give me a refund. Then 7 days later only after asking persistently again. He told me he will not refund anything. That is very bad human behavior, which no half way professional seller should have. Lying to me and ignoring my Emails for almost 3 Weeks.

I have many nepenthes growing well and many other plants. I have constant 65% humidity and red/blue/white Led lighting, with a very good soil mixture. I put the plant in a plastic bag at first for getting used to my humidity easier.

If you want to be safe ordering a plant I reccomend a different seller.

I hope this helps others not to make my mistake...

Parcel arrived, all plants are in good condition. No more complaints.

	2017/07/05 UTC+8 updates:

The resent parcel was posted on 2017-07-03, and has left Poland on 2017-07-05

	2017/06/29 UTC+8 updates:

OK, Mekk of Roraima.pl has contacted me, I'll keep update this topic updated until I get the parcel.

	==================================================================================================

I placed my nepenthes order on this site 29 April 2017. Waited for 10 days, and nothing was sent.

So I dropped a mail to them, asking when my order will be shipped. The next day, I got my reply, saying they are having holidays in Poland last week and the order will be shipped soon.

Shipping was quite quick. I checked the plants and address on the mail again. And everything looks fine.

But when I got a phone call from the post officer, I found the shipping address was wrong: it is my previous address that I used (on their website, I placed my new order with new Chinese address, I asked them print and paste the Chinese address on the mail) 2 years ago. I asked the officer if the address can be changed, because I no long live there. They refused my request due to the policy. So, sadly, the parcel was sent back to Poland.

On email, Michal Gastal said the issue might be caused by something wrong with his computer, and they will decide what to do next. So I wait again.

I waited for a month, and they never contacted me again. So I decided to place an issue on PayPal.

This time they replied quick, asking if I want new plants or refund. I said "new plants". And then again, they became muted.

I think I might ask for a full refund on PayPal, since it's all their fault.

In short, I placed my order on 29 April 2017, and didn't get my plants or refund on 27 June 2017.

Hello everybody,

I expose you my problem : I made an order on this website the 3rd august.

And until now, I have not received any plant.

I contacted them by twice (directly on their Facebook page)...

One the 7th august (they told me that they will send my order the next monday).

The second recently, the 21th august (and I have no response).

Have you already ordered on this website ? What is your experience ? Do you think I must ask them by another way ?

I know they was not available during a short time (23th to 30th august if I remember well). But I must say I'm pretty disappointed...

After one month without informations.
