Today, after a long, cold, bleak winter, I spotted my first Sarracenia flower bud beginning to emerge.

Yep, it's on the way
I spotted a few myself yesterday and some of my seedlings have just started to wake up.

Today I stuck the blade of my pocket knife into the outdoor Sarracenia mini bog: It's frozen solid to about 5 cm (2 inches) below surface.

Nothing in Perthshire yet - not that I'm complaining, I'm still re-potting them!

Not much in the way of life in mine yet.. The only one with a flower bud is one I bought a week ago..

Nothing here either, apart from throwing out a couple more rotten VFT! Quite annoying to say the least

I have 3 flower heads on my greenhouse Sarracenia - spotted them a few days ago.
Isn't it wonderful to see plants come through that dreadful winter?
Luckily I don't have any Sarracenia losses despite one night of -10 in the greenhouse!

Spotted my first few buds yesterday. That set off a bit of a panic as the newgreenhouse hasn't got much glass in yet (sorry to members who have been following my thread), so will have to put in a bit of overtime and get cutting back the dead heads. Arrrrgggg!

Yeh, I've got loads of flower buds comming up now.
Surprisingly, amongst all the alata's and flava, one of my oreo's and my 2 flowering sized leuc's are also sending up spikes already
