A bit grey today but wanted to take some stock photos of these two flowers while I have the chance:

Awesome photos as per usual Jim.

I am particularly fond of the square pots also, you can squeeze in so many more plants! What are the leaves like on the first hybrid? I chekced CP photo finder and cant seem to find any photos of leaves for this plant. Does it have a tight growth form like P. essseriana but with larger leaves?

In the second photograph, are they growing directly on the rock (looks like a dolomitic limestone or similar)? Or do you fill holes in the rock with your nomral media? It looks great and may have to give it a try!

Matt.

Hi Matt, for foliage see http://www.cpukforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=34944 - looks just as you say - rosette size is about 8cm diameter.

I am lucky enough to have a tropical fish shop nearby so if I am passing I pop in to see if they have any suitable bits of holey Tufa I can use as Ping rocks. The rock in the photo has internal channels. I stuff strands of sphagnum into these channels and then sit it in a saucer with the sphagnum poking out the bottom; they act as a wick. I put a little bit of organic media into the natural depressions where the channels come out and pop the plants on.
