Beautiful petiolaris drosera Matthias! Thanx for posting these wonderful pics! My falco is in dormancy now, ordensis about to enter it. So I am left with darwiniensis, paradoxa and petiolaris. Do yours go dormant in different times as well?

Spectacular plants as always. I like the "flying fox" especially.

Good luck to you too in 2010 and happy growing!

Nice pics!

D. spec. Mandorah looks like either a possible natural hybrid between Drosera kennealyi and D. petiolaris-dilatato or a D. falconeri x D. kennealyi cross...

Very interesting!

Happy Growing,

Brian.

This is the 1st I hear of D.sp.Mandorah, it's beautiful! What's the history behind it?

Best Wishes,
Fernando

P.S. All the other ones are beautiful too! ;)

Very interesting species, I never saw D. spec. Mandorah and D. darwinensis flower.

Good week!
Matthias

most of my plants go in different times in dormancy. At the moment some D. derbyensis and D. ordensis go dormant whereas other plants of the same species begin to grow.

I really don't know if this plant is an natural hybrid or a true species but you are right D. kenneallyi or falconeri may be a part if it's a hybrid.

I don't know the exact history of this species. Lowrie discover this Drosera in Mandorah and describe it as a plant in style of a small D. kenneallyi. My plants are ca. 4-5 cm in diameter.

Good work Matthias!

Beautiful plants! I wish I had the lighting you are giving them!

Oh, Petiolariscomplex Droserae in full growth in winter - what a surprise! biggrin.gif

Well, that spec. Mandorah really suggests to be a hybrid with D. falconeri. Don´t ya think so? wink.gif

Mine are almost all sleeping. Winter´s too cold for them to grow happily. But when spring approaches they´ll be put back below my large South-West facing roof window. Nice, intense colouration is guaranteed! biggrin2.gif

Regards,

Andreas
