Hi,

before switching to the (at least in cultivation) rarer southafrican species (regia, alba, hilaris, ericgreenii, cistiflora and some more) i will show you pictures of Drosera aliciae in habitat. The pictures have all been taken at the Constantia Nek. I will add pictures of other locations later.

Nice pictures Chirstian. Are the red ones a different variety, or are them just more exposed to the sun?

Hi Christian,

this habitat look like D. montana habitat.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi,

@UtricSeb: that seem to be two diiferent forms of D. aliciae. We also found green plants, that have grown in shade, but they are looking complettely different to the plant on the last picture (actually, they were ugly!).

@Carlos: Maybe, one day i will also see D. montana in habitat (Brazil is amongst the first places on my "i have to visit"-list ;) )!

The enext location, that we found D. aliciae was Silvermine. Here are four pictures of the plants from there (the green ones here have been growing in shade).
