Hi guys,

check this out:

BTW...the small pitchers are like 3.5 - 4 inches tall and see this new baby :)

took around a month to open. :) I called my parents over to see this.. lol! they were shocked. biggrin2.gif I even forced them to get the camera and took this for ya guys. :)

I am hoping the other pitchers become this big...its like 8 inches. its amazing. biggrin2.gif DO u guys think its just becos its crossed the winter phase? I mean I never had the plant before winter and it might be that all the pitchers on it before were winter pitchers.

But I am happy...my foil enclousure seems to serve it well. biggrin2.gif

cheers,

varun

Very Nice Varun biggrin2.gif
It is quite usual for a well looked after ventrata to achieve pitchers of this size but might I add that my plants have only just managed it after a good few years!!!..
It seems you are doing a wonderful job!! icon13.gif

Congratulations Varun. Good job. victory.gif

With all my efforts and every day misting I still haven`t persuaded my N.ventrata to do neither one new pitcher. 2139.gif Anyway, I still like it and it grows very well.....just like a nice ˝room˝plant. biggrin2.gif

Thanks aj. WHy don't u explore why its doing that? try figuring out if its humidity issues for lighting. Then correct them easily like how I am.....to inc the humidity....u can use my setup....very very very easy and cheap. Just made of Al foil......put down like a tray...some foil.....then try making 2 sides for the front and the left that is opposite to the light. Then put one more piece on the top to reflect light down and yeah.....they love it. biggrin2.gif Wait for 4 months or so....and then see new pitchers. Mine took 4 months to adjust. biggrin2.gif

Thank you Varun for your suggestions.
I think that the problem is not light but humidity and the misting is not enough to do the pitchers.
But I will try your method and maybe I will have success. biggrin2.gif

Cheers,
Alenka.

what I found out is ventrata is very very forgiving. Just ensure that u are not taking it from 20 degrees to like -2 . Thats what i did which made my plant go into stress which took 4 months to go off. Make sure whatever u do ....u do it slowly. If ur ventrata has 30% humidity now....don't go to 90%. Raise it slowly in a period of 2 weeks or so.

Glad I could help. :)
