Hi, all

As December is upon us with dark, cold, wet days. Most of our plants have been dormant for a while now, and generally not looking their best.

I thought I'd share some photos of my plants with you all, and hopefully cheer a few of you up.

Nice view over some Cephalotus follicularis.

Darlingtonia californica 'Othello', anybody know what the small Pinguicula to the right of center might be?

Drosera coccicaulis.

Drosera graomologensis, with D. prolifera hitch-hiker.

Pinguicula agnata.

Sarracenia leucophylla "Tarnok".

Sarracenia psittacenia.

Drosera erythrorhiza Subsp. erythrorhiza.

Drosera whittakeri Subsp. aberrans.

Heliamphora nutans flower stem with pitcher development.

For all those of you who have recived seed and gemmae from me in the past, heres where I store it before you get your little hands on it.

Inside. The larger tub, and packets on top are all full of Drosera gemmae

I hope you all enjoy, and that the photos are not too big for the Mods (Aiden) :?: lol.gif

Beautiful pics - your plants are looking gorgeous. The erythorhiza is particularly nice...

I think that Ping would happen to be P. lusitanica. Great pics, thanks for sharing!

Nice photos Langy biggrin2.gif
I see you grow your Drosera whittakeri in sand. Mine are grown in a mixture of sand/peat but have been rather poorly these last couple of years  My original tuber that I got in 1992 and that grew to a nice size vanished without a trace this winter shok.gif I had repotted it in the summer when fully dormant and it look AOK. But it never came up, and there is no sign of it. My younger tubers which I had from it over the last few years are still around. Two in my unheated greenhouse look better (more dew) than the one in my heated Neps highland house. Thats nice and green, hardly any dew. Do tubers eventually die? As I never had any losses till this year..

cheers

Nice plants. I especially like the D. graomologensis. Do you grow all of your tuberous species in pure sand, or is that just a top dressing?

Hi, all

I grow all my tuberous and pygmy Drosera in a mix of peat and sharp sand 3:2, and give only my tuberous Drosera a top dressing of approx 3-5mm silver sand. It sets them off quite well I think.

Very nice. The D. erythrorhiza ssp. erythrorhiza looks more like D. erythrorhiza ssp. magna to me though.....

Spectacular plants as always Langy!

I love the tuberous D. that you have...hope you'll get more tubers next season ...just for trade biggrin2.gif

About the Pinguicula could it be a small lutea? or a pumila?

Cheers
P.S. Merry Christmas to all

Hi, Stephen

Only the Heliamphora, and the Drosera graomologensis are under lights.
Everything else is in natural light in the glasshouses.
