Hi there I had a darlingtonia which unfortunately died
I left it out side for about a year apartently dead, but when doing a bit of tidying i noticed what look like baby darlingtonia's growing but it is hard to be sure they are only 1/2" inch tall with a little head. Are there any pictures online that I can compare with?
Thanks

Darlingtonia grow stolons underground from which new plants grow. It could be that your main plant has died but new plants are emerging from the runners.

Hey Goose,
I don't have any pictures of little Darlingtonia, but I have a picture of a dead 'grown up' one
Check: http://img40.exs.cx/...dscn04945gh.jpg
I don't have any answers too how he died, it is a mystery for me either, so I hope somebody can help me here ;)
Bye,
Richard

Thanks for the responses,
It appears that my "seedling's" aren't darlingtonia, in fact they look nothing like the ones in the picture!
Well anyway I am going to give darlingtonia another go and hope not to murder it!
Thanks

That is indeed a very dead Darlingtonia!
What caused it to die is impossible to say but similar to Cephalotus, Darlingtonia sometimes drop dead for no obvious reason.

Hey Aidan,
That can be possible, in two days he were completely brown! That must be it... (The warmth in the ground didn't came above 22 C).
Bye,
Richard
